.AJ.
That’s a shame, I was warming to the idea of getting the WR8 nitro, think I’ll swerve it now

I would honestly advise people to stay away from the savage or anything HPI until they drop their prices or until they improve the quality of their products to reflect their prices. Is it really that obvious from just an out the box inspection.

To a point if you've been around the hobby long enough and know that with most RTRs it's worth going over it. But even a new comer might pick up a couple of things. But what got me is it really did seem like they found the old stock of savages threw a couple of "updates" on them then found some hardware from a bin outside. The more I and more I thought about what they cost the more I just didn't understand where the money went especially when you compare it with what else is in that price range, then it just started to seem like a money grab. Now granted with the nitro version there isn't too much to compare it to but the flux there's sooo many more choices and pretty much all of them are going to be a million times better in terms of what you actually get.
supersavage
I should say before my frustrations get the better of me some of the issues I had could just be the occasional "first batch" problems that occasionally happen. But the diffs are still filled with grease so there's that.

Popular Post BigGinge
Put some nicer 4mm bullet connectors on the new motor for the TRX4 and swapped it into the chassis. Based on a quick drive around the dining room floor it seems a good bit more powerful that the stock motor (it’s quite happy spinning all four wheels if you give the throttle a good squeeze) and seems nice and smooth at low speeds too. I wasn't really a fan of how I set my 6 wheel f1 car up so tried something different. I got this from Germany for about £40 delivered (after I'd sold the 2nd) and a replacement chassis is about £10 if it doesn't work.
