I bought an Injora hard body for Jeep Wrangler and it was great. Although I eventually got it from Ebay but it was shipped from China anyway. Really good quality2 points

Just drilled out the rear axle cups on my pro model to solve the dogbone binding issue. 5.5mm drill bit was the right size. Shame to have this issue from the factory but not too hard to solve.2 points

Has anyone here ever bought any of the hard body’s that are available on AliExpress? If so how did they compare to bodies from more reputable brands and/or how did they hold up in use? I saw these while browsing the AliExpress app the other day and have been tempted as they aren’t really any more expensive than picking up a half decent lexan crawler shell. Certainly a lot less than the Traxxas Bronco shell. https://a.aliexpress.com/_mNE7wvS1 point

Gmade make some nice plastic beadlocks, no idea if they clear the portals though1 point

I was looking and saw the vitavon panhard mount (VITTRX4PANHARD) My only dislike of that is butchering the existing fender but I suppose there has to be a compromise... On an unrelated topic... Can anyone suggest some nice beadlocks but in plastic? I don't want to add weight for the motor to have to spin...1 point

I have a 144001. They're good for the price, sure, but if I was going to recommend any of them it would be the 124018. My one has survived countless crashes & has been the most durable out of my WL models. The newer brushless version (124016) would be a good choice too, depending on if you want to spend a bit extra for a bit of extra speed.1 point

Liking the look of this would have been nice to see something other than a land rover but it's great to see a proper hard body with an interior on a rtr model. I like the idea of the unique number plate, does this mean we will see cut n shut and cloned versions? imagining turning up at meet and someone has the same as you😂 Body mounting from about 4mins in1 point

Its fine not in the truck. Stock it is for now. Thatll teach me for wasting money on alloy bling ha1 point

I think it's awesome, I would totally be in the same boat as you guys knocking it for being "another Defender" - but this raises the bar, it isn't some lousy polycarbonate shell with some stickers for the lights. They've smashed it out the park. @m4inbrain / @Ross9999992 - the screws you see in the photo actually screw into a "quick release" bar that then clips into the chassis. So the chassis comes with 2x bars you screw into the shell either side with the small screws you are seeing, then these bars quick releases on/off the chassis. 🙂 It's actually really clever, much more sturdy than velcro or magnets and very discreet!1 point

Everythings fine with the stock bellcranks back on. I cant formthe life of me find any ‘issue’ with the Treal one, but for whatever reason, it binds 🤷🏼♂️1 point

My thoughts exactly! Yes, they put a huge amount of work into the chassis and then sitting on top is the Defender body yet again! Please, let's see something new!1 point

The Arrma forum guys are saying you can't remove the little space alien dolls (withouot brute force), and can remove the ray guns 😅 Also that whole batmobile cage body costs >$200 to replace 🤫1 point

I just meant there's no indication of where the bonnet is. no indentation, or something like that1 point

Looks better than the Rc4wd all round, them team raffle shells are sweet too. I wonder how well the carbon rails stack up against the “normal” c rail design?1 point

Wow.....just realised its nearly 9 years since I last posted on here!! Anyway, I ordered my Trailrunner last night when I saw the price on Modelsport! Was going to pull the trigger on the Sendero HD (so much better than my old SCX10ii) to match my 9year old sons but at the price this was at it seemed worth a punt as I quite like the IFS and smaller wheels / tyres. Spent alot of time on the Tube watching vids and it seems OK so im quite excited to see how it goes. If the worst comes to the worst, I'll convert it to solid front axle. I suspect there will be a few more 'Runners showing up in the near future so hopefully this thread will be a good source of info and pics👍1 point

I'm feeling peckish and seek a cookie too, so will add these things run on 6S fine all day long. I've bashed mine, crashed it, done some speed running attempts and if I'm honest treated it with little to no mechanical sympathy, as to me its a means to go nuts driving instead of doing it in the 1:1...And in the end what retired my Hyper 7 was me finding other buggies I prefer. I still have it in parts in a bag somewhere, I inspected all the diffs and moving parts after 6S runs for almost a year...And then built a friend a new diff from the same unit to use in his speed runner with a lightened Losi spur...Its hard to kill a Hyper 7...Even with "silly" power. Good luck with it all and I recently discovered EC5s, I was using XT90 previously, I do prefer how easy it is to insert and disconnect EC5s. Also get yourself some decent solder, not the cheap chinese lead free stuff - sure it'll do the job, but leaded stuff is just on another planet.1 point

yes it does and model sport will fit what ever connectors you require, we use xt90 ones and run 4s on our converted hypers. some times we use a single 4s battery and plug a loop connector onto the spare connector, other times we use both connecters with a pair of 2s batteries 🙂 if only using a single 4s batt i use one of these https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/418912 on the other connecter. edit: i dont remember having to solder connectors on the esc and the one linked has the xt90's fitted, i started to melt a deans connection before on my kronos so switched to xt 90 on all my batts that get used on 8 scale models 🙂 edit 2: a solder iron is the rc model car users freind, you can easily change connectors on batteries etc 🙂1 point

Many of us use fibreglass mesh tape (plasterboard tape) and shoe goo to reinforce bodyshells btw as nobody else has mentioned it yet. I’ve not had any yet myself but I believe e6000 adhesive is a viable alternative to the shoe goo 👍🏻1 point

I could have sent you a spare but I managed to destroy 3 of mine trying to drill it out to 3.2mm bore. Well I did two and then I thought I would let my dad have a go since he used to be an engineer but he had the same issue of it not being true.1 point

@Stormbringer one for you. Added a wheelie bar just for looks more than anything else. It was a cheap Chinese made one designed for a 1/10th Traxxas but looks nicely to scale I think for the Infraction. Took a bit of thinking to get it fitted and I recycled some carbon fibre rear wing mounts that I made for my Limitless in order to get it done. Had to make a mount to fit underneath but was reasonably easy once I had marked out the holes correctly. Carbon fibre wing mounts I made for my Limitless below. I changed the rear wing design after I crashed the Limitless so these were going spare, ....fitted them upside down and think they fit really well.1 point

Did some bashing: Maxx need the diff looking at, the Rustler needs a rear bumper mount and Pede needs a front arm (which ive got)1 point

Same story here for royalmail, I had a second class item arrive today nearly 2 weeks after it was posted, personally I avoid sellers that only use Royal Mail now, I would rather spend a a few quid on a courier or myhermes1 point

It lives! I changed the plug which seemed to help a little. However, it turns out the tune was waaaay too rich. I'd tried adjusting it up to a turn each way with no luck, it needed a full 3 turns in on the hsn and 2 on the lsn. https://youtu.be/gCxIdS4MIGQ1 point

Well I think the time has come to sell the summit and slash! Summit hasn't been used in 12 months and the slash hasn't moved since I bought it.0 points

Yup, 4x dinky M2 screws. You can see them in the pictures too, at the bottom of the arches. And of course, the inner part that you screw into is plastic, so chances are you'll strip one eventually. As happened to me. Not to mention that if the cement/glue doesn't set properly and it moves when you assemble the shell, it doesn't line up 100% and you have to faff about to get the dinky screw in - and of course, when painting the shell, you gotta make sure not to get paint in there (or drill it back out). I just despise it, leading issue as to why i'm basically not using my Trail Finder 2 anymore. Just went up in price. Earlier when i posted the first time, it was £450ish without body, plus £76 hardshell. Must've been a pre-order thing or something.0 points
