Time has flown but he will never be forgotten, thank-you Carl and keep ramping that Baja up those clouds!!! 4. Back in 2001, the forum was just starting out. The members mainly were customers of the Modelsport shop, and had a real interest and passion for the hobby. As the forum had aimed to be a community to bring together enthusiasts of RC cars, there was a sense of friendship and people didn't mind helping out others with advice, knowledge or even free parts. As the forum grew, our membership shot up as the reputation the MSUK-forum built became known as THE place to go if you wanted to find something out about your RC car. However, with this increase in forum traffic, naturally, it brought an element of life that we never like to see - the scammer trying to make quick cash. Case in point, was 2007, a young man who decided that our 13,000 members were a prime target to make money. Due to the legal/court involvement on our part, we cannot use his real name or identify the member, so we'll refer to him as "Tom". Now, the easiest way to scam someone is to sell something you don't actually have. So, Tom realized that he could do his deed by jumping on the idea of the most popular RC car of recent times, a HoBao Hyper 7. He spent around....oooooh....10secs on Google images to find some pics of a Hyper 7 in decent condition, and then listed it for sale on the forum. He threw together a vague description and story about how he'd bought it, loved it, took care of it, but as times were tough, it needed to be sold, and he was asking a mere

  5. Just saw this and thought why not respond. I usually ignore haters but sometimes questions should be addressed. Low IQ - Yeah, so what if I have? I can still make a load of money on ebay, youtube, courses, affiliate marketing, investing, Amazon to name a few, I enjoy every day of my life, I get to live my dream and I get to teach others to do the same, I've helped 100's of people follow in my footsteps. IQ level does not affect me. BTW, my IG is average on most tests. Monster Up for sale - Nope, I'm European dealer and mine is not for sale, but it can get you one. Price wise, £250,000k to build a complete truck, chassis a small part of the total cost I understand some people are skeptical and pessimistic about my course, thats fine, its not for you, keep doing what your doing I just hope you're happy! It's my youtube channel, I can do on there as I please. It's your eyes you choose to watch or not If you're going to call me a scammer please have the decency to show proof, no one on my course has EVER accused me of that and I've never denied anyone a refund within the promised 30 days I have many REAL testimonials from REAL people on my course and it is working for many people (Proof in my private facebook group to those on the course) Yes, it does not work for all people. LAZY and overly pessimistic people have no hope so don't buy it, SIMPLE The items that make me the most money are imported directly from china, sometimes I can 10x my money Yes, my items are not the cheapest. Everyone racing to the bottom on price to be the cheapest goes out of business. It takes a certain amount of still to find products and make good converting listings, all of which is in the course. I have people in my course who have done ebay selling for years with little success, the took my course and are now making a killing. I purposely do not send any youtube traffic to ebay so that my earnings that I am showing are fair I use american words because most of my viewers are american! If you get bored of my videos, don't watch, simple solution right!? I'm a complete idiot - Like I care what you think, I make a ton of cash and love my life and am reaching my wildest dreams, while helping 100's of others do the same. What are you doing with your life? The more haters I get, the more conspiracy theories start, the more people view my channel, the more popular my chanel gets, the more money I make so keep it going. No one promotes your business better than your haters!!! I can take insults don't worry, keep em coming if I cared I wouldn't put my mug on youtube!! One extreme was a guy made a hate video about me which lead to me making around 10k in course sales. Don't worry I wont be sueing any haters, at a guess at least half of my earnings indirectly come from haters promoting me for free. If you don't like my ebay ad in my videos then simply skip or don't watch at all. If its not for you then fine, business is only for the 1% in this world so 99% can just ignore my ads If you have any doubt it's not for you put it that way! I make over 100k a year on one of my ebay stores and I've helped 100's with their ebay business. I can t guarantee you'll make the same as me because you might be lazy or don't listen to my advice. Basically if you're not sure its not for you, I just hope you're happy with your job and earnings and if you're not, its up to you to change if you wish! If you're stuck in a position in life you don't like it's up to you to change, hating on others that have changed won't fix your unhappiness. I used to have a dead end job that I hated, on low wages. I was depressed and miserable and hated life. But instead of hating on others who were more successful that me I learnt from them and used it to better myself. Now I've never been happier and I can't wait to get out of bed every morning to live my dreams. I'm just an average guy with an average IQ but I decided to take action - what's your excuse? Cheers, Kev x PS Haters I love you too xxx

  7. I have to ring this old bell again as we've had an established member take a payment with a bank transfer of over £200 and then not dispatch the goods, this user is now banned. The buyer has lost all of this money because there was no safety net. Please be mature and sensible and both agree on a payment method that gives both parties security, such as PayPal Goods (not gift/friends). This is more common than you would think. Don't lose big money over a few quid in fees!

  9. lonie..I have tried to explain this to you, but why do you think people will just forget about this and things will go back to normal for you? By refusing a refund and forcing a PayPal dispute you are making it clear you stood by your decision to sell this stuff as a going concern when it clearly wasn't. By continually stating that PayPal will refund Mark you are making it worse. It'sa not JUST about money here....it's about honesty and integrity. If I came round to your house tonight while you were all asleep and burgled the place, you wouldn't be happy about it. If I then came on here and said 'it's alright, your insurance will pay up' would that make it any better? Effectively...that is what you have done.

  18. Clutch tuning is one of the most important aspects of 1/8 scale nitro racing. Using the best-suit clutch system under different track conditions will help you get podium at the races. Thunder Inovation now provide you with this 4-shoes Pro One Clutch System which provides ultimate performance, great tunability and flexiabilty, ease of assembly and long lifespan. The shoe design also provide much more contact with bell . Three types of flywheel for different track conditons: Light(Aluminum): Used on high traction surfaces and to provide a little extra bottom end snap from your engine. Clutch engages easier and faster. Medium & heavy : Used to tune for low traction surfaces, as well as to smooth out low RPM power delivery on engines that have a strong bottom end hit. Assemble direction: Put the clutch shoes with springs into the flywheel pins, place the outer clutch retainer over the assembly with spring posts aligned with notches in the retainer, and give the retainer a twist to load the clutch springs. Disassemble direction: Remove the clutch nut, and pull it off the crank, done! Come with: 4 pcs of 6061 premium aluminum shoes 1 set of flywheel 1 pcs of harcoated clutch nut 1 pcs of clutch collet 1 sets of springs (0.9/1.0/1.1) 2 pcs of 8*12*1 shims Link: RC4ME

  19. This is ludicrous. You are looking for complaints, you said so in your post. Owning an RC, means you represent this hobby. willashrcroft said it simply, you will give it a bad name and when people see organized groups of people using them in places not suitable for purpose, they will look at the nearest communities to send blame, that being MSUK-Forum. I don't know why I even considered giving you a section, you are terrible at running a 'club' and managing anything. You have no respect or care. No way am I letting you plan stuff like this here.

I've been a member on the forum for a few months now and in that time I've bought stuff, sold stuff, got stuck, got unstuck, asked for help and advice and given help and advice, had a laugh, had a laugh (put that twice on purpose) and met some nice folk. I've never had a problem that wasn't solved, or a question that wasn't answered. Could I just let those who work in the background to keep this facility going know that I appreciate their efforts. I'm pretty sure that I'm not alone in that. Cracking job fellas - cock on! (as they say in Yorkshire - honest, they do...) Tubbo

  26. Finally had chance to sort out an area to store and work on my RCs. Recently moved into a new place with my girlfriend, and she kindly agreed to let me have an area of one of the spare rooms. Instead of spending money on a new RC, I decided to make a start on it, as prior to this they were all literally stacked under the stairs. I need some new flooring in there, and some new lighting/curtains but I decided to make a start today. Picked up some cheap racking/workbench from G Stack I think it was called: Each model is completely RTR and has its own Lipos and TX, so could potentially run each one at once 😌 Dont want to come across as a muppet but Im very proud of the above. 15 months ago I was single, living at my Mum and Dads aged 33, going through a divorce, and didnt own a single RC as Id had to sell them all. Ive worked bloody hard for the above this past year or so (not just the RCs, the mortgage etc) if I do say myself 😌 Also massive credit to my other half. She is genuinely one of the best things to ever happen to me! Anyway. Sorry about that. Back to RC

  27. Have to show this off here because, ...well, honestly my Mrs doesn't care so I wanted to share with somebody. Spent maybe 12+ hours odd working on my Losi SBR 2.0 this weekend; Stripped it down, cleaned, replaced the remaining standard diffs with GPM aluminium ones filled with heavier fluids, changed over half the bolts for stainless steel ones, adjusted the suspension settings/ride height and then refitted everything back together. Very happy with it now ~ standard diffs shockingly were all almost completely empty of oil (see picture below of front diff where oil had all but completely leaked out!). 😮 Another GPM aluminium diff ready for fitting (this one was for the centre) Also added a Traxxas waterproof RX box to protect the receiver as standard it is just open to the dirt/water elements etc. Painted the calipers with gold spray paint and clear lacquer as I didn't think the red standard calipers suited the truck. Last two pictures of a birds eye showing some of the stainless steel added screws and the new ride height set up.

  29. Backstory I only have use of one hand, my right. Previously I had a 20+ year history of racing with both hands in the normal fashion. I could drive fast with both pistol radios and stick radios. I had no preference but at the time of my medical drama I had a stick radio as my main racer. It never took me longer than 20secs to adapt to a new radio, I could race with one style then immediately swap to the other and set very similar laptimes. Pretty unusual! Stage 1. Holding a radio and operating the controls. If you've ever done ant form of competition driving you'll know you HAVE to be able to react very quickly, basically being able to operate the full range of steering and throttle travel ant ant given moment to make a pass on a rival. Looking at the range of radios on the market, it initially seemed that the right hand operating 2 sticks together wasn't possible. but one stick might? So I gathered a few bits to try a 6ch aircraft radio and very quickly I ruled out going down this route, its fine for crawlers but no good for racing, the stick throw was too long ad far too soft. Plus the menu system was setup for planes not cars so no provision for car features like drag brake, idle up and the like. A chap at my local RC racing club also has the same limitation as me, same working hand, he races with a Futaba pistol and he holds the radio against his belly, gripping the wheel with fingers and thumb, trigger with index finger. He turn the rates up high so he can go from lock to lock in about 15deg of wheel movement. Interesting angle of approach and it planted some seed in my mind. 😄 Stage 2. Wheely positive. The Flysky Noble NB4 came out at the end of 2019 and had the option to be used left handed. no good for me right? Well maybe not, as if I moved the wheel across I could possibly trigger with my index and steer with my thumb? Nope. Again its great for slow driving like crawling but useless for racing, taking your thumb off the wheel to reposition at 40+mph is dangerous. People have 3d printed sdevices to attach to wheels to keep contact but they assume your thumb is a certain size and sweeps in a particular way. They also make it a very twitchy car to drive so I abandoned that train of though and looked again at the method the guy at my club uses. Pressed against my belly I steered the wheel in ''normal'' mode with my thumb and index, and reached under with my middle finger to get the trigger. That got me on track for a couple of months to assess where my driving ability was currently at. I was reasonable but rusty. And then I started idly googling. Stage 3. A Hybrid future? Years ago KO Propo released its top line EX1 and EX2 radios where the buyer could customise it with drop down wheel units or being able to slide the trigger forwards or back to match finger lengths. A superb idea to make it as comfortable as possible. With the Noble I found m y middle finger wasn't quite long enough to reach the brakes on the trigger meaning sometime i sailed past apexes. One huge plus point for the racer in me was car specific modes like ABS and idle up. Time had passed since their release so instead of being silly money, they are now reasonable money on ebay. One accidently found its way to my house.Remember I said I could drive sticks and pistol? Well Another option for this line of radios s the ability to swap out the wheel unit for a stick. Interesting. My thinking was I could adjust the trigger position to match my middle finger whilst steering the stick with my thumb. I'd be holding the radio in a non-standard fashion so I'd need to create some sort of handle to support my palm. Luckily I by now had bought a 3D printer for various uses but perfect for this. I sketched something up and printed. #it was really little more than a triangle cable tied to the radio but it worked! O could finally reach att the controls I needed at any time too, exactly what I needed to race. I refinded the design 4 or 5 more times adding chamfers and more material in strategic locations to make it even more effective. Stage 4. A different direction. Something about my design bugged me greatly. firstly the throttle on my middle finger. Its not a very dexterous finger for fine control. I really needed a throttle on my index. And the stick for steering was really too far to the right meaning my thumb was actually behind my knuckle on right hand corners. Playing on Xbox one night I realised the solution was that I really needed to recreate the ergonomics of the Xbox pad in an RC radio. Thumb outstretched, index finger forwards. Pull back to go. By now I'd amassed a selection of KO receivers and I love KO brand radios, they feel high quality. So I began researching. KO sell all parts as spared so I ordered an EX2 trigger unit to see what it was like ouside of a radio. Its entirely ''enclosed '', the tension spring is part of the trigger for simplicity. so in theory I just needed to solder it up and mount it? And hope the radio sees it? Credit card bashed and this arrives. a KO Propo Esprit 4 top level twin stick radio. Beautiful isn't it? As luck would have it, KO don't change the PCB plugs so in theory All I needed to do was unplug the throttle stick and plug in the trigger. The radio only sees potentiometers not the stick/lever/etc. I tested. AS I was going to mount the trigger on the back, the plug needed extending. I didn't fancy soldering tiny delicate wires so I ordered a 3 pin Micro JST male to female cable and tried it out on the bench and it worked. image hosting Mounting to the radio back involved a servo post and a scrap bit of carbon to place the trigger at the right height. Actually very simple, just 2 holes drilled! 'The trigger needed a little protection so I added a transmitter stand to the factory handle. Neatly done I think, I've spent knockdown refining it but I can't wait to get back racing again to see how much faster it is. It feels absolutely mega now.

  31. I'm Adam, I'm 35 with 2 young boys and I work in IT looking after everything in 2 schools, one of these is a special school for disabled kids. My eldest son (now three and a half) has severe cerebral palsy. I used to have a tamiya thunderdragon when I was about 14 but didn't have the money to keep it running then lost interest as I went college and rode bikes more. Been wanting to get back into rc for a while and would often talk to my wife about it and tell her john (eldest son) would enjoy it as well. Aways fancied a lunchbox and thought john would enjoy watching the bright yellow truck bouncing round. Also wanted a hobby I could do with him as I want to go mountain biking with my other son. Anyway she bought me a lunchbox for Christmas as a surprise, now a month later she's starting to realise what she's let herself in for. I had ideas about building a custom joystick controller for john to use and this idea has developed a bit beyond that. I now want to build a collection to m03 cars with a variety of controllers so that I can start an after school club (or even intergrate it into school time) at the special school where kids who wouldn't be able to use normal stick or trigger and wheel txs will be able to enjoy rc cars. The collection has started. I've bought an m03 off someone on here and I've got a couple of controllers to adapt and play with. Going to wire a Wii nunchuck up and see how that works as I know a lad with limited movement in his small hands. Also planning a little box with a joystick on for another lad to control with his chin the same way he controls his wheelchair. Got loads of other ideas as well. Anyway, that's me.

It’s quite a heavy beast and I think it’s looking like I might need to fiddle with my shocks a bit to compensate for the extra static weight. Looks nice though. If the weather isn’t too bad this weekend (admittedly this isn’t looking likely) I might even get a chance to take it out for its maiden run.

The Prairie Wolf shell is so close to being done now, just need to tint the rear, and side, lights and put one more coat of chrome on the front bumper (to cover up the finger print that I put in the first coat of paint); then the painting will be done for now. It hasn’t come out too well in most of these pictures but the metallic blue is really looking nice in this in the flesh. It has a satisfyingly dark tone to it with the black backing.
