Popular Post MrCake
Thought I would start a thread for people to share their 2023 RC plans, whether that is new vehicles, projects, selling off cars or anything else RC related. I will start with wanting to find a new bash spot. Close ones have been lost to new housing and a local woodland (less than 5 mins away) does not have quite enough space for anything 3s+ and is just getting more and more popular with dog walkers. I also fancy building something in Jan/Feb when it is dark/wet/cold and might go for something like a Lunchbox to scratch that 80s child itch. Suspect I might look at moving a couple of cars on as well but always struggle with doing that 🤣
Popular Post Nitroholic
hmmm....well. I haven;t used my larger RC's for a year or two, so I think maybe it's time to...build a project out of one. Wanted to build a half-track based on an HPI Baja drive train. So might do that this summer. Want to build a 1/24 sacale crawler course in my garage, and will include some micro RC heli landing spots on there too. As this year...I also want to actually learn to fly my micro CP heli. Picked up a used old mCX co-ax, as I haven;t flown for a while, and need to get back into the swing of it with something controllable. Might look at a 1/16 tank build from scratch too. Kept meaning to do it... 3D print mixed with flat styrene sheet composite build. Got a few ideas.

turok007
Sell most of the cars i still have, as no places to use them. But might get back into RC planes, just need to check local flying field isn't going to be built on like every other place. 2 1

Lone-wolf
I need to get of my backside and fit the FPV system, Matek/Inav 411 flight controller to my Sonic AR Pro delta wing, do the maiden flight on the Atom RC Dolphin forward swept delta wing. As for rc cars i have room for a new crawler and been fancying getting a Carisma Coyote kit for a while but also considering getting a Gmade GS02 kit, so until i decide what to get i best hold of, also i still need to work at improving my crawler video work, and of course find time for all this

ReggieC
Not sure if these are plans or racing goals but here goes. Would like to get my Xray T1 pretty dialled and make it to one of the Retro TC meets that have just started happening. This shouldn't be too difficult, just hope they host one a bit closer to me! Would like to make a couple of the 1/10 2wd East Of England regionals to see how I stack up against some faster drivers. No real goals on success here but would be nice to come away with a podium in whatever final I end up in. Mainly just to keep enjoying them. I'd like to take my crawler out a bit more, but was always the plan to take that with me when I go away in the van rather than going out to find crawling spots. Popular Post DannyP
First will be to get on here more. Seems the bug has bitten again. Went out today with my boys all on our new cars and had a right blast. Even my daughter showed interest so will get the Rustler in the shed running for her. Needs new combo and by the sounds of it a new diff. Will dig that out later. I can definitely see some more cars coming in. I really want something nitro on road, maybe Kyosho FW. I would love to pick up an old Schumacher Fusion though. Something 8s, probably Xmaxx. Crawler. Pulled my Savage from the loft the other day. It's ready to go but will most likely wait for dryer days to run that. I bought an NX8 Tx couple of months ago and a heli sim to get back into flying but it has just sat in the box so need to get back on that and maybe get a little 450 or something. Honestly I'm excited for the next year. Edit: Great idea for a thread BTW Edited December 30, 2022 by DannyP
Popular Post supersavage
I was toying with the idea of getting a Tamiya TT01 of some sort to race in the Iconic Cup series but with everything going on that's probably not going to happen due to not being able to get to the tracks. So I'm probably going to give up with RC or at the very least take a looong break from it. Once the LMT has sold I'll only have the TRX4 left and I'm trying to decide whether I want to sell that or not but for the time being I'm keeping it as it's easy just to throw a battery in it and requires very little maintenance.
Popular Post Alex97
I've skrunk my ender 3 3D printed speed car to meet the mini class (wheelbase under 225mm) and printed the whole thing, ideally I'd like to finish it. I'm thinking of sticking to 2s paired with a high KV motor, I wouldn't be chasing piemans world record. The chassis will be carbon fibre I'll use very thin wheels on the front. The thinnest section is just 50mm wide so should fit a standard shortly (just), to start with the rear wheels will be open however I'd like to introduce a rear section that's closed, it's rather tricky to enclose them when the wheelbase is so short and the overall length is under 400mm plus I wanted to keep the body section under 50mm.

Popular Post BigGinge
I’m hoping to finish off the two rally car builds (if I can’t get at least one done by tomorrow) and try and get out and use the cars a bit more. I expect the best way to do this will be to get the lad to come along with me which may (depending on how the wife takes the idea) lead to me building up another trail truck/crawler. That way we could have a truck and rally car each that should be fairly closely matched to keep things “fair” out driving.

Rjs1882
Probably echo what a fair few of you have said already but I definitely want to get out more and also find some new more exciting bash spots near to where I live

Not looked at helis for a while but I think SAB do some smaller ones now. Had a Goblin 700 and Logo 550sx some years back. Both of those where amazing but will start with a cheaper lawn dart 😁

Shergar
There is a list! 1) Finish the workshop off (upvc the new ceiling, final paint on 2 walls, fit my wall cabinets) 2) Paint the 2 Tamiya touring car shells… which I was convinced I had, was going to sticker them this winter… 3) Build my collection of parts into a 6x6 truck 4) Buy something else I don’t need 🤪 No1 was a bigger project than anticipated, not helped by my brain which was convinced I still could graft at the same pace I could pre lung damage, and took lots of smaller bites to finish and ultimately make a weeks work several months. The rest have been backed up in the queue since! No4 isnt allowed to happen till 2024 😇
archer11
I got hooked up last couple of years on f1 from DTS, so I've decided to buy couple of f1 cars from here this month https://hobbiesdirect.com.au/scale-models/formula-1/
Gaz!
To downsize and free up a little space and also treat the family to a little camping holiday should funds allow. otherwise, whats not getting used anymore will be boxed up for the loft. i have 6 Rc that get used so obviously they will stay and get the last of the major projects finished, finally finish the crawlers courses in the garden.
