Nick
Totally understandable, they've been busier than Christmas on skeleton staff. Keep up the amazing work Modelsport!

I'll second that, they've been working tremendously hard over the last weeks. Hopefully they'll catch up with the orders quick enough to have a well deserved break.

I'm now on Universal Credit! Was furloughed for 3 weeks on full pay, now back working from my office at home. I'm one of the lucky ones and certainly do feel for those that are struggling at the moment. Times will get better.

Kpowell911
Hang tight you pair, I had a little bit of cash stashed away, so could weather a month, maybe two, but I was genuinely starting to worry until I got that phone call earlier. It certainly feels like its getting better, so Lets just hope that our work has been postponed rather than cancelled and we are all gonna be very busy back earning money for toys in the near future when it is safe to do so! Id like to say the Self Employment Help scheme will be helpful, but Im very skeptical, although I do appreciate whatever is available. Positive vibes lads x @Rover Man @.AJ. Kukynas
Fortunately I can work from home but not sure what I would do if I couldn’t, self employment sometimes sucks
babylon
On Furlough at the moment, But I'm waiting for a consultation call in the next few days to find out if I still have a job due to the downturn and cutbacks, So this time next week I could be unemployed. So 26th March I should have been jetting off to Florida for the family holiday of a lifetime that I saved all year for, So in the space of 6 weeks, I've not had said holiday, Been stuck indoors(Which I have done), And might loose my job, Arr well.
CarlC
On furlough here too, finished my last bit of work at the end of April and no new work in the foreseeable future. My company (I am a salaried employee of my own company) has a bit of money so I am safe for now. On the ModelSport side of things, my Fiance has ordered me a birthday present for later this month. She ordered it first thing this morning, and has just received an email saying it is shipping tonight. Stunning service, hats off to all at ModelSport.

Alex97
Apparently the staff have been doing night shifts and still struggling to keep up, hats off to then during this time keeping up with the demand. No doubt they are still putting up with people emailing them every 30 seconds asking why their delivery is 5 minutes late.

I know many businesses that seem to never have been busier yet they get their staff paid for by the government, business grants and tax holidays. Doesn’t really make any sense. My wife had been self employed for 2.5 years. Profits were low to start with and only now doing really well. We get 30% of what we were on because they average the previous 3 years. Better than nothing but far from great. Edited June 3, 2020 by Nickarla
Nickarla
When did Modelsportput set their free shipping charges at £200? Was this before lockdown or during? Just wondering/hoping it might go back down soon.

I'm guessing there's a reason why they had to increase it, courier charges due to extra volume? Who knows.
