  1. Never seen that before, Any noise from the motor line a hum or anything ? I’d be tempted to just give it a light pull see if it comes loose. But I’ll leave that up to you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Couple of things never run a battery till it’s dead & can you post a picture of the thing hanging out of the motor [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I’ve got the Savox 0231wp in one & the eco boost HV set on HV in the other they both perform really well & just a £10 between them Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I’ve the eco boost if you go HV make sure your receiver can handle it, my Radiolink GS6 will. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Well done [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. There are some decent pre-owned ones about but not many, TBH they’d have to be really ragged before you have to replace any worn parts & parts are plentiful. Main thing is ESC + Motor I’ve seen a few with cheap kits thrown in which never last. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Excellent nice start to the week [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  9. RC’s are a lot like kitchen appliances they either work right off for years or stutter a break in the first 10 mins. Hope you get it sorted soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. You turn it on and you get 4 beeps + flashes green then flashes red. Try recalibrating the TX and esc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Oh dear about the ESC, I nearly fried my Turnigy 9x transmitter yesterday I took out the power pack to charge it connects with a 2s lipo balance lead, I reached down but picked up an actual 2s lipo & plugged it in frizzzzzzzzznpupupup burning smelting melting smell. Upshot transmitter ok. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Got fed up of this broken blue body. so broke out the turps and a scrubber 🧽 4 hours later ready to paint , new body’s are £25 posted + they’re out of stock. purchased some masking from MS with my voucher & set about a makeover. Had the paint in stock. considering it’s going to get bashed it turned out alright for me anyway. Nick you'll be pleased to know that MSUK sticker survived 4 washes & 4 scrubs with turps before I had to peel it off 👍👍

  14. 2,Shock boots split on the VSE no stock due to Covid had some of these rubber bellows we use on servo links that pass through the stern of a boat about 45mm long trimmed the top of the old Hobao ones so they fit the bottom of the shock. stripped them down they fitted only 50p each do the job 👍
  15. Not sure on the RC golf R not sure [emoji848] where you’d start. Looking at a custom body possible 3D printed or scratch built using a 1/10 4x4 platform. Traxxas do a fiesta rally 4x4 as a platform. Your dads R will be a 7.5 then that’s the latest model I have the 7.5. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Wow is the 8 R out yet, I thought it was due 2021 ?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Diffs transit grease it’s ok to run on but like I say I like to rebuild before a run, I’ve come across many loose screws on drive lines. Not with Hobao mostly with Traxxas or Arrma Shock oil no clue but it’s good enough to get you out and about. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. It’s personal depending on what your doing bashing racing racing. I have 5-7-3 for road race For bashing 30-50-10k Front Centre Rear. But I can swap about. For some it’s an exact science for me it’s about making sure the diffs are built correctly & the grease removed, no big problems found just the orange diff gasket off its seating that looks like they toss in as a after thought. Shocks I top up with 48wt which is 500cst. I’ve still left the shock oil in as it was good enough to run with, I’ll probably do a full change after 6 months. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Welcome to the forum [emoji106] it’s a great hobby for the family to get involved in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
