  1. I'm tempted to look into those a bit more in depth but it would be rather pointless with little options to run them. It seems there is nothing around MK but I was wondering if Mini-Z is popular anywhere in the country with appropriate facilities?
  2. there are already a few on youtube but I am still on the fence if the xmaxx really needs it - yes there is a slight tendency to roll but I think we have all adapted to that in how to handle the truck and from what I could see some were still able to push the truck onto two wheels so almost pointless to me ...
  3. so did a friend, and she was so afraid that she even washed and cleaned her deliveries every time they were delivered, only ordering stuff in additional packaging ... she and the family didnt leave their premises and still she caught it 2 weeks ago ...
  4. When I saw it I was like nice body, apart from that I guess you need to wait for the v1.5/2 in around Oct time ... Having sold my Kraton 8S and enjoying the Xmaxx I cant shake the feeling this comes too late for me at least
  5. I dont think anyone minds a repository of STLs its the commercial production and distribution of models that makers are upset about - no one who posts his model on thingyverse complains if 50/200 people download and make it for their own use ...
  6. I use GDS pinion and spur but no chance to get them to mesh correctly - maybe a 19T with the 46T spur would work by the looks of it but the 18 even without the pins no chance - I have thrown in 18/50 for the moment which seems to work fine while I wait for new pinions
  7. did you manually set the mesh without the pins? when I set it to E its way to loose and chews the gears - any recommendation on how you run the 18/46?
  8. I'm in need on of one - preferable two - as they came in a set of ten I hope someone still has some and may be willing to part with 1/2 ?? please let me know
  9. cheers mate - I thought it may be more - performance is just nice punchy and stuff but I was wondering if I see the right type of performance - temps seem fine did plenty of speed runs today and no issues - took it off-road after probably 12 runs to see what I would get out of it
  10. Mate, what speed do you get on 18/46? my traxxas telemetry claims 43mph - which I still find a bit slow ?! Do I miss anything settings wise or so?
  11. nice one - havent found a spot like this that isnt completely locked down with no options to access them
  12. ran the Xmaxx today and the 18/46 seems to work properly - didnt bash it though ... now the stock motor fans do click occasionally - I assume they should be running all the time? it seems they try to start but dont start on an interval - at least by the looks of it or its just in impulse and they dont actually run all the time but only when necessary - could someone elaborate on their behaviour? also, I installed the telemetry stuff - well, not sure about it yet but it clocked 138mph once, so not sure about its GPS accuracy - I did correct the gearing in the "model setup" for the "calculated" speed but this makes me wonder ... need to fiddle with it a bit more .... edit: fan problem sorted - all working again
  13. Cheers mate will order some then - shipping time blows though
  14. Seems like it may have been a wrong seated motor - had it apart again and one of the pins flew out before I was able to move the motor out so unsure ... all redone, sounds better now as well ... I’ll see still interested in recommended spur and pinion manufacturers
