Cooking, driving for leisure, playing games on PC or PS5, socialising with neighbours, repairing broken things in the house.

edit: oh, and detailing/cleaning the car.

Tell me about it. Put in Samsung Galaxy Buds - turn on some AC/DC and then get to work. What pressure washer do you use, and what brands for wax, snowfoam etc?

For me, depending on what i'm doing, it's Autoglyms Polar Blast snowfoam, then depending on what i want to do, either Autoglym Polar Wash shampoo, or Autobrite Shield (if i'm sealing) shampoo, then Autobrite Magiseal. Claybar i found the Autobrite kit (with lubricant) decent for the price, still looking for a good decontaminant as well as tar remover. Usually finish with either Autobrite Shield spray wax or a Carnauba wax, though i haven't found one that i'm 100% happy with either there.

Haven't faffed around with cutting compounds, since the cars i had since i've gotten into were new, so really didn't need a machine polish/paintcorrection.

I have a AVA p55 fantastic bit of kit with a MJJC v2 foam lance as for the product’s I use 3 company’s which are Bilt Hamber https://bilthamber.com they do everything you need I use surferex hd on the lower half of the car then top that with touchless for a pretty much non contract wash  for shampoo I use garage therapy https://www.garagetherapy.co.uk for car and wheel shampoo and koch chemie FSE for the final wipe down and just recently brought a BLO air s dryer https://www.in2detailing.co.uk/products/blo-air-s-hand-held-car-dryer along with multiple drying towels 👌the amount of stuff I have I could start a business 🤣

More or less stopped RC with the exception of my TRX4 and now getting pretty heavily into Reptiles. So I pretty much spend the time I would be RCing researching various things for the reptiles I have or may possibly get in the future (if I can find room for them) and just looking after the ones that I have. I won't post any pics here as I've posted plenty in the Show us your pet thread.

Absolutely love my MJJC v2, after going through a few cheap and nasty ones. Just works. I did read of Bilt Hamber, but there was something that i didn't like - just can't remember. I think the item i was looking at wasn't PH neutral, so it'd attack coatings. That garagetherapy decon shampoo sounds interesting though, as mentioned i don't have a decent decontaminator yet. Might give that a shot, so cheers for that. I've got the wheels coated with Fusso, so no need for dedicated wheel cleaner just yet - usually a rinse almost does it, rest is just normal shampoo plus wheel brush. FSE is a quick detailer, isn't it?

I've probably got 10 drying towels from varying companies, plus buffing towels, interior towels, towel towels, .. it's ridiculous lol. And yeah, if my pressure washer was petrol i could easily fill a van and get going. Not that i want to, car washing itself isn't fun - washing my car is. Otherwise way too much work. 😄

Happy with the dryer? Quite interested actually, to get water out behind the mirrors/panel gaps, ruins waxing every time when there's water dropping out there.

edit: lol didn't see at first - i got an AVA P55 too, superhappy with it. 😄

I’ve not tried the GT decon shampoo yet will be getting some fro the spring clean so to speak 😆

I’ve got probably that many towels though always have dedicated ones for wheels 👍

FSE is more of a water sport remover has a mild acid to to remove the water marks but is also a QD and has a bit of protection in it as well I’ve not got a coated car but as I always use FSE the water beading is very good IMO and last about a month

and for the blower I you have a coated car you can dry with just that but I brought it to blow water from grills mirrors door handles behind the license plates and so on I was using a battery powered leaf blower but to dig and can only do have a car before the battery died but it’s worth every penny much more powerful smaller but 1 very small issue is it has a 5m power cord and for the p55 the best pressure washer I have ever had love it 👍

Yeah in terms of drying, our front bumper is awful.

Half an hour just to do that with a towel, so yeah.. I think i'll be ordering that blower. I always coat my cars, even if it's just the "non-professional" stuff like Autobrite Shield - it makes a big difference, lasts around 3 months. Am considering a professional ceramic coating at the moment, but the quotes i get tell me that i kind of really don't want that and should stick with the Autobrite Shield (which is a "ceramic shampoo", a sealer and spray on/buff wax). Works an absolute treat, haven't washed the car in three weeks now because the rain takes off all dirt (apart from plastic trims). At like £70 for, i'd guess around four washes (= a year), that's okay. Bit of elbow grease but hey, it's fun to see the car gleaming afterwards.

Is that a mk8 golf front bumper ?

I’m not bothered if my car is coated or not the FSE adds a bit anyway but the blower is a great tool to have will never be with out now 👍
