I bought myself boring music software for Christmas, I'm actually over the moon though.

 

Great to see everyone's RC pressies and talk of more wife's/girlfriends/women in general being involved with RC, I think it would be a great thing for the hobby.

 

Women could be just as good as men or better at driving RC cars, no physical restrictions but I'm aware of a scientific study that suggests women have an impaired sense of visuospatial awareness? Parking?

I'd like to see some females prove that theory wrong

I draw the line with Chopper Bob though (Zoe Turr) that Woman shouldn't be allowed to fly helicopters.

So frustrating isn't it @Tug . 
I got asked what I wanted for my Birthday by family members so I made a little list of RC stuff I actually needed ~ got asked; "isn't there anything other than RC stuff you want?" 😩 

 

Why ask what I want if as soon as I tell you I get asked isn't there something else instead?! 

Anyway thankfully I did get some things RC related today that I wanted in the end as my Mrs got me some Losi parts and this afternoon my Dad gave me some gears from the USA.

toying with the idea of a new tv as my old 32 inch is getting on a bit possibly 12 year old lol but limited with space and i would want a new one to be bigger 😛

Yes, for sure. Ideally, when putting the bracket on the wall, use any timber you can find in the chosen area. A magnet will find screw/nail heads so you know where studs are. Then you will get (at least some) really good hold to carry the weight. For the remaining fixings into plasterboard there are lots of options; ‘Grip it’ are pretty good.

Father Christmas obviously knew I’d been good this year and knocked this up  in the north poles sister workshop in China 😉 It’s one of those collapsable spray booth extractors (off Amazon I think). Seems quite sturdy, will have to see if it is in practice. Lights inside are fiddly so might not go the distance, and you need a box really for the extractor pipe work. The rotating table was inside too.

two kits to build.  I like the building of things, and building nice clean and new is a treat. 

 

so while the family are getting stuck in to this years lego gifts I am going to start on the Xpress xm1s. I have a mini pickup shell to go with the xm1s. its 210mm wheelbase chassis only. belt drive, 4wd.  not sure what shell i will get for the m08, current thinking is either mk2 escort or the hpi datsun 510 - old school rear drive is most likely.

woot finally got my pressie, saved up a bit more and seen a tv that jumped out at me and the stand just fits, fitted some straps to it earlier to hopefully avoid the worst if it trys to topple for any reason 🙂

 

had to modify the fish tank lid that was half knackered anyways as the lid was a lot higher up.

playing the switch with shin megami tensai v on it and im impressed , i thought the switch would look crap on a 4k panel but it looks decent and hooked up a small external 500gig harddrive i wasn't using for recording stuff and time shift.

Don't listen to this guy, he fit a ftx esc and 2845 motor to his hyper 7 then staxxed it. 

 

If you want to fit TV to plaster board just use no more nails and if you're feeling hardcore bby, PVA glu.
