@Alex97 - what carbon fibre floor are you adding to that WLtoys? Is the wheelie bar because you've upgraded the motor to something hotter?

@J.K Where do get your HB Racing buggy from?  Looks good! I can't see much availability or indeed any in the UK?  I assume it's 1/8?  Where do you race when it's allowed?

It's just a sheet of 100x250mm carbon fibre so I'll have a wider flat floor the whole length of the chassis. As I've set the a arms to be flat to lower the ride height the flat I won't need to do any cutting.

Once you go above 50mph as they are so light I've read that they tend to lift so this will help with that. I will need to make a front wing to keep the front in place.

Very little. I looked at them for a bit then fitted the rear body mount to my mad cap to saint dragon conversion. Removed the gearbox from my grand hauler ready for the new motor that's ok the way, don't want to go any further with that build until it arrives and don't want to start anything else until it's finished. That means the MK2 escort is still in the box waiting. Other than that I got my df03 dark impact stuck in the snow.

But more done, tyres taped and glued, brake servo fitted esc mounting plate modified and fitted, esc setup and find out how to stop the servo moving when pressing the throttle, first time using mechanical brakes on any of my 1/5s

You don't need to, the servo should have free movement in forward throttle. Mine does on the X2.

You set the epa to zero for the throttle direction. I see you use Futaba, I used a 4PM with my 5ive and these were the setting using a separate servo for the brakes 👍

The brake servo is on ch3

Finally!

I had the time to go out with my kiddo for some bashing.

5 minutes into the fun and the Rustler Spur looked like this:

IMG-5162.jpg

Pinion went loose.

And no threadlocker on any of the screws.

WHY ALWAYS ME?????

Why do I always have to work like a horse and earn the money and don't get anymore fun????

Something is wrong....

And my son is getting fed up with my problems.

He even gave me the transmitter for his Bugsta:

"Daddy, take my car and have some fun".

Arghhhh.

Do on this, when on throttle the brake lever hits the upper gear mesh plate, aj just posted a way of doing it so I’ll give that a go

Ah, I don't have that problem. I've gone the easy route and just used a splitter cable, ESC and brakes servo both plugged in to that. Golden.
