  1. Kamtec Rough Rider, it does have to be fairly heavily trimmed in places though. But I am hoping it's going to be far more aerodynamic.
  2. In the rules it says it can be basically any bodyshell, as long as it's in tact and actually looks like something. So like a completely custom made carbon fibre body like what Raz Shifrin uses, you'd go into the modified class, rather than 2wd class from what I understand. But something off the shelf that roughly resembles a car, is fine. Not sure on the offset, I just bought whatever was the cheapest. When I put my new electrics in, which I might do today actually, I was toying with the idea of going back to completely stock wheels and tyres. Just not sure I'll have the grip. Shocks are now back to standard, but I did have only about 4-5mm of movement in them, it made it worse, unless you are running on a glass smooth surface, don't remove too much from the shocks. I say go for it, not sure if you can find a DT02 in stock right now like, there probably is some somewhere, but from what I've discovered, Tamiya stuff is getting a bit thin on the ground due to some docking issues and factory issues overseas. It's the reason I've changed the body on this, so now it's just a DT02 in the RWD class, not specifically a Holiday buggy, but I already now have the Holiday buggy unofficial world record, so I can move onto something else anyway.
  3. Nothing wrong with that if it does what you want buddy. I honestly think I will end up buying a cheapish hardtail for some road riding, get some nice fast tyres on it and hit some roads, mostly for getting my fitness and stamina up.
  4. Counting down the hours lol, looking forward to sitting on it, then feeling how different it is after they set my suspension up šŸ˜„
  5. I plan to go as soon as possible tbh, a lot of people are reporting police at trails, but nobody is getting stopped, it's more to make sure there's not big groups and people riding dirt bikes and stuff. I'll only be learning the ropes so won't be going mental. Got my helmet today, the full face, ordered a bit of a nicer pisspot style, matching my full face 7idp.
  6. I will have videos up soon, I just have an order in which they go up. Might put one up tonight actually. They say it's 8th scale, but it's not really... Not like an 8ight or something, given it's based on a 10th scale SCT. Buy one Froggy, you'll like it.
  7. You'd be better off just using the outer case, for some lens protection to be honest, I can't imagine its super water proof or dust proof either.
  8. Anyone had a UPS delivery lately?

My Hero9 Black is supposed to be here today and just had a notification, due to Brexit 'complications' it isn't being delivered today, there's now basically no tracking information available and no scheduled delivery date or anything.

Before calling UPS, just thought I'd ask.

I was supposed to have a very important UPS delivery today and, as we now know, we aren't a million miles away. Could be that you're on the same route (although I doubt that).

      Ā

Either way, my delivery slot ended at 14:00 and nothing. Still nothing.

I wasn't actually ever even given a slot, apart from the usual delivery hours of like 9-5 or whatever they are.

Yeah mine doesn't have a slot anymore haha

  9. If I could only have one of the two it would be the WR8 Flux. Not a fan of the look of the LMT and seeing them break easier than an Arrma 6s has put me off even further.
  10. I was going to say that too, but honestly having not used one I couldn't really advise, but yes it does seem to according to basically everyone.
  11. Originally was looking at the Kona Process 153 for full suss, but ended up ordering a 2021 Trek Remedy 8. Spec is better and it should climb better, where as the Kona is more suited to up lift parks.
  12. So I had a complete turn around. My original plan of a budget hardtail for around Ā£700, has turned into a pretty much DH/Enduro full suss, treated myself big time lol, this is the problem when your girlfriend tells you to order whatever you want. The shop I ordered from originally got a bit snotty when I asked about frame size... I then phoned up to change my order to a full suss due to a change of heart/mind, they told me they'd call me back, 2 hours later I get an E-Mail that my orders cancelled and I'm refunded, not even a courtesy call, so they lost a Ā£3,200 sale. So I am picking up a bike from a different shop, who seem to have better staff, a 2021 Trek Remedy 8. Wanted this style of bike since I was young, I am in a position to buy it, so I am super excited. I've also found I have Danny Hart Descent near me and Hamsterley Forest MTB within a 30 minute or so drive.
  13. Looks much better now and less work for yourself šŸ˜„
  14. Anyone used the Muc-Off website? Trying to apply an apparently 'sitewide' discount code, but it's only taking a few pence off one item?

Apparently you get 15% off sitewide on your first order.

I don't get it half price sadly lol, I figured the 15% discount would be quite nice, but maybe not if it doesn't actually work.

Tried 5 different codes, all took 15% off a sponge :lol:Ā

      Buy a dozen sponges.Ā

The muc off wet chain lube is decent as well.

  15. Drag cars are 2wd as a general rule, some will be 4wd, but pretty much every no prep 'street' drag car is 2wd. Traxxas will probably make it 5wd, just because... You know...
  16. Well, the order for the Orange Crush Comp is cancelled.

Decided to go full suspension with a 2021 Trek Remedy 8.

    Collecting on the 24th šŸ˜„ šŸ˜„Ā

Iā€™m waiting, not very patiently, for delivery of a trek fuel ex 8.

@oodbooĀ - I very almost bought that, but I was swayed into the Remedy 8 for the spec, which suits me and what I want to do a bit more.

Both fantastic bikes by the sounds of it!

      Happy riding mate šŸ™‚Ā

  17. I would just do it like they do on Tamiyaclub dude, be easier, just get people to write it in a single line like mine is, then copy and paste, just a bit less work for you and easier to read.
  18. Then it comes down to how you want to use it, what you want from it. Ground clearance, but a bit slower and less handling. Or better handling, more stable and handles good. Tbh mine jumps really nicely as well.
  19. A - Agree. B - Straight away C - At least Ā£600 That said, the body looks awesome!
  20. Where do you intend to run and what sort of surfaces? I think there is the perfect 3s Arrma for everyone. IMO they are actually better than the bigger ones. The Typhon 3s is fantastic if you wan a bit more speed and buggy handling. The Senton 3s IMO is the best short course truck available and I've had quite a few. Or the Granite/Big Rick 3s if you want the MT style, with the durability still. I would say the biggest flaw in the Arrmas is the LVC does kick in a tad early, at least for my preference. But lets be honest, for Ā£110 you could get a HW Max10 combo, be 3s and 4s capable, sell the stock unit for even Ā£50, and for sub Ā£400, you're still over Ā£200 better off than the Maxx šŸ˜„
  21. RWD class, DT-02, HobbyWing 10BL60, Trackstar 5.5t motor, Zeee 5200 60C, 48mph, stock front tyres, Schumacher pin rears, 55t spur, believe this run was with the 17t pinion.
  22. Honestly, over the years I've tried the real Castle vs fake Castle and the fakes did just as good in my humble opinion. They were always just as powerful, fast and lasted as well, never had one fail on me. Ironically, the re-branded Castle motor failed in both my Yeti and my Dads and were replaced under warranty Not sure about those actual specific motors, I'm sure there's some differences in the internals, but I do believe you pay for a brand name in this hobby quite a lot. Same with brands we know that sell cars.
  23. No interest in splitting sorry, double postage and whatnot, unless people are happy to cover the extra postage. @everclear1984 - @Jens - PM me your offers for the items you would like, we can go from there if I get the total I want
  24. 27.5, gloves are already bought, knee pads already bought, got some five10s here, along with some Alpinestars riding shoes, I forgot I had them, they might actually work quite well on MTB. I plan to get pretty into it, I won't be messing about jumping up and down curbs. I already have the full sus I want bookmarked. If it does all go to plan, I'll have that Kona by next year šŸ˜„ There's no good reason not to have some nose, teeth and chin protection IMO.
