What did you do to your model today?

Painted and stickered the driver for the Super Hotshot. Also cut and painted the body.

Having that out the way, this will ensure a more continuous build with no hold ups and having to wait for paint to dry.

Build will commence next weekend

Redneck style. Bought 4 £1 led torches from homebargins, some of the wifes red nail polish and gaffer taped them to the body. Tried them out tonight and it works really well and can see where the truck is now 😎

Looks very tidy there .AJ.

I am not looking forward to the task of cycling my 12 or so 2S Lipo batteries with various chargers, I think I must be up to 6 chargers with another one on the way* (planning to rig up another Xbox PSU for that one). They have been on storage volts for around 14 months now and sitting in a box under a bed so I assume I will loose a few to general lipo decay (second hand items mainly and I did loose a couple last year).

Will take me a good few hours at another property address. Hobby calls for it though!

*I paid $24.71 for this shipped, still little customs charge (ing) from China. It looks like another I have and it has a nice 10w or 20w discharge rate.

I am running those on my SCX10ii, they have really amazed me, as someone who hates Traxxas, I will say they are one of the best tyres I have used.

Not great for side hilling, but some nice soft foams and they hook to almost anything.

Gave the new to me SCX10ii Deadbolt a run and grabbed a few pictures, tried something different with editing on a few and also tried an in-camera double exposure feature.

There will be some footage to come possibly today, maybe tomorrow, which will be a bit different from me, including some commentary and a slightly different approach.

Might also start a thread for this truck.

Scully was having a brilliant time!

Named for his facial features and the lead singer in one of my favourite bands Godsmack.

Sorted the steering out on the 5ive Beeeeeeee.... When I fitted the ADI steering rack (about 3 months ago) I just added loads of sub trim to line it all up, so I’ve reset the dual links from the servos, getting rid of all the sub trim and then reset the endpoints 👍

That's a nifty camera case and mount. Mind sharing what they are?

Did think about using a selfie stick to get down low easily, but that still involves driving with one hand which ain't easy.

Also have a Deadbolt II with some tweaks.

If that ever comes up for sale, message me :P

It's nothing special bud, just a GoPro Hero 4, with a couple of extension arms on the front, sticky pad on the front of my tx and the standard case the GoPro came with.

Haha, decided to keep it as they're so versatile and my TRX-4 needs a friend 🥰.

Done some more scale work to the crawler :D

Beautiful work! Particularly like the window here.

I wonder if you have a future on Instagram too.

How did you achieve that red reflective finish on the horizontal metal bar? Did you use a specific paint is my honest question lol
