  2. Finally I got my rc4wd merlin shell fitted to my chassis. Took a lot of messing around to get it right. Trimed the front bumper down. Ground out a small bit of the gearbox/ engine cover to fit under the shell. Cut up some old chassis braces to fit rear shocks in. Now I got to smash in the esc and make up a battery tray. And paint the interior

  4. I have to say, this is certainly not recommended, huge resistance, loads of heat, asking for trouble. Good thing it is only a NIMH!!!

  7. More boxes for small parts. This time the sections are just the right size for what I want but there aren’t any removable tubs in this model (there is one with tubs but it costs about five times as much). So I have broken out the 3D printer to make some up; it might take a while to fill them up but should keep me happy for now.

  8. Much more advanced than Arduino, its Matek F405 wing board, runs Inav flight software with gps, so it does auto level in angle or Horizon or cruise mode RTH allows the plane to come back and loiter at the launch point the board also controls live video with full OSD showing battery levels, and much much more

  11. Hi guys, following a 12 year hiatus, i have bought another Rc. Previously i had a savage 25 and raced rally cross in the South West with a nitro Xray808. Enjoying racing off road motorbikes instead. However following a recent injury i can no longer race this year, so i have treated myself to a savage Xl flux. Little did i know how much of a minefield Rc has become in 12 years, needless to say i will be asking many questions on Mods, electrics and mainly batteries in the future. Many thanks Jordan

  13. This is a series I've been meaning to do for a while. Not that I think many people will watch it, but because it encourages me to explore incredible places; which is possibly my favourite thing in life! I'm very guilty of failing to explore the desperately beautiful locations within my own country... while, simultaneously, itching to see the rest of the world! Time to put that right. I'm going to regularly travel into the Scottish Highlands and simply see what I find. Hopefully, some people enjoy it. This time: Glen Ogle, Falls of Dochart & Loch Earn.

  15. Thanks for this. I ‘had’ been struggling to sleep recently 🤣 On a serious note, looks lush up there. Beautiful countryside. Practical question; how do you film and drive 2 cars at the same time?!

  17. Added a hobbywing combo and SRT DL5020 to my Granite 3s BLX - due to problems with the stock ESC/Motor. Stock kit is going back for testing under warranty as it didn't run right stock. Always loved Hobbywing products, been using them since the old WP-SC8 days and the Max10 SCT / 3200kv 3660 combo is superb (ran one a while back in an old Axial Yeti) - never let me down

  20. The Pro Boat® Horizon Harbor Tug Boat is a scale-appearing boat allowing you to kick back and be the captain of your own ship or create the ultimate retrieval boat. It's both a beautiful scale tug boat to cruise around your local pond and a ready-to-go-out-of-the-box retrieval boat for the seasoned racer. Featuring a 700 size motor and a 40 amp ESC capable of handling up to 3s LiPo, this boat can be enjoyed as a scale tug or you can use the removable arms to turn the tug into a working boat mover and retriever for up to 48-inch racing boats. Additionally, it has plumbing for dual water cannons which will become operational by adding a water pump which will be powered by the receiver. LED lights, a metal gear servo, 3 Channel 2.4Ghz radio, and receiver round out the package providing nighttime piloting with precise steering and crystal clear connection between the driver and the boat. 22. Been busy getting the car ready for ROSSA attempt 2, so stepping things up a notch. Bench tested 6s on the drive train held up fine, on 1/8th scale power. Hobbywing max 8 and 4274 2200kv motor on 1.1 gearing was just a bit to slow on 4s on the road and motor dragged no surprise there lol. Took out the 6s setup and gone back to the same motor and pinion used to get 102mph i think the setup has 120mph in it so going to keep it in. Upgraded and cleaned up all the wiring to 10awg and 6mm bullet connectors throughout, no more deans and 14awg bottlenecks. 2-8s Ripple cap pack not an offical Ripple Killer so will have to see how it works, can be connected or bypassed. New Dual Boosted 10v reciver good for 600m on water/land, also new transmitter good for 600-1200m. New Custom 5mm spur / drive shaft, allowing use of 5mm bore pinions as spur gears and the use of the stock dogbone middle driveshaft. New driveshaft anti vibration brace working amazing, no failures no noise. New gearing prior gearing was 37t spur 34t pinoin, new gearing is 27t on the spur and 34t pinion, should do over 102 for sure!! Will need to look into tires that can take the new rpm. Thanks for looking!

  23. Car has been sat for a while so decided to see if I have the bits to get it running. Half way sorted now. Drive shafts sorted. Body now fits OK. Next is jam the esc and bits in. And find a space for a battery.

  26. Just to keep in line with the theme, I wanted a green motor plate…… but I could only find the whole thing, from GPM….. but its not too bad to be fair and the extra alloy may help with cooling: I also got some pinions to gear down slightly The outer ring is for the stock smaller motor. Much better…. For what you can see of it

  27. More will be coming! Yeah, it's beautiful. Cheers! You're very welcome! Practical answer; the "wummin" was with me. Whenever the steering and throttle is jerky and erratic... that's her driving! 😆

  29. I’ve had an HPI Trophy Trophy Truggy 4.6 in storage for a couple of years ready to convert to brushless, in the time I’ve been out of the hobby I’ve bought some new tools including a 3d printer and ultrasonic cleaner. The car was very clean before going into storage but smells a little (slight BO/weed smell from grass/oil) so I decided to do a full tear down and clean out in my new 15 Litre ultrasonic cleaner. And yes the water was clear before starting. Here’s the car clean I’ve still got it partially disassembled while I wait on hpi 101674 motor Mount and 101801 gearbox mounting plate, 7k, 5k and 10k cst diff oil and 22x688 Abec 5 bearings. For the motor I could have gone for something lighter but here’s the 4074 2250kv and hobby king ESC I bought.

  30. The stock 100blx esc Is just a piece of crap, had a lot of problems with it , super low runtimes 8 minutes on a 5200mah 3s , and shuts it self down a lot of times, I can't believe that they still sell cars with them in it and never fixed the problem, a lot of people have problems with them, and it is allmost 2 years ago when I had mine arrma typhon.

  35. OMG wow. Will try these on my Kraton EXB 1/8 Must be insane at sandbeach or gravelpit, and snow. Extra info about these 3.8 Dumont Paddles SKU: 10192-10 $65.95 pair (USA) Coming soon. The Dumont 3.8" tires come Pre-Mounted on the next generation 3.8" wheel design from Pro-Line, the Raid 3.8" Removable Hex Wheel! Imagine being able to replace a damaged wheel hex without needing to replace your glued tires! These new Raid 3.8" wheels make this possible by using a unique 8x32 interlocking hex design that is secured to the wheel by 8 M3 screws that are spaced 32mm across. The hexes are included and are also available separately (6345-00) These are 1/2 offset , you will have better stability Pro-Tip:When running your Pro-Line Tires in Water, Mud, or Sand foreign materials can enter the Tire. If this occurs, the foam Inserts can begin to break down and the tire can become excessively heavy or unbalanced, causing unnecessary wear. Placing a piece of waterproof tape (such as Duct Tape) over the Wheel Vent Hole is a quick and easy method of preventing anything from getting inside Your Tires These are huge in size and heavy i believe, best go down 1-2 tooth at motor pinion to avoid overheating https://www.prolineracing.com/tires/dumont-3.8-paddle-sand-tires-mounted-raid.asp Height: 7.25" (184mm) Width: 3.26" (83mm)

  46. Get the Corally HD servo saver from their website, for both cars. Standard servo saver is rubbish. Then check the shock pistons have been formed properly. Then have fun!

  47. The EXB servo mount is basically pants..🤣🤣 You need to upgrade to a solid alloy one like Voltage Hobbies, GKA or CRCU if you want a nice solid base for the servo..
