I've just tried swapping channels on the receiver, so ESC in ch1, steering in 2. The wheel is working the motor, but the throttle also works the motor not the steering as you might expect. Would that suggest the receiver is faulty?

Thanks Tug. Yeah, I'm holding it long enough for it to start beeping and flashing red. When I try to set the neutral point, the MAX8 doesn't flash green as it's supposed to, so not allowing me to set end points Thanks

I've just installed a Hobbywing MAX8 into my son's Traxxas E Revo, but having trouble calibrating it. It's plugged into channel 2 (3rd slot) on the TGi receiver. As per the instructions I hold the set button, then turn the ESC on which makes the red led flash and beep, but when I press it again to set the throttle limits nothing happens, no green light. Any suggestions?? Thanks
