As such in the 18th/19th Century they quarried out the centre of this hill, and when this closed they put a cricket green/park in the middle of the hole. This results in lots of banks like this (Which is far steeper than this shows): The broken shock was an annoyance as that was the first run across the field/park, and whilst I 'slowed' down for the turn I hit a bumpy part of the grass (Mostly it is an outfield of the village cricket pitch so fairly flat) and it just went cartwheeling. 😪 The rest of the damage was caused by thrashing over banks like this at far to high a speed!!! 😇 To be honest this 'bashing' spot is would be crawler heaven too.
