Popular Post Redback
The Hyper 7 hit one of the tires protecting the traps at ROSSA last weekend, big fail on my part, couldnt abort in time due to an unknown steering issue. Had just done its first 101mph pass 30 min before. Checked over the actual damage, looks really sad and bad, but in reality... Oone broken bell crank, shattered lower pin and front diff input housing tower mounts. Chassis is still straight... Motor mount is fine, all drive shafts straight, no screws pulled through, pretty speachless... They make these old hypers tough as nails. Does this book mention much of their RC history or is it more based on their static stuff? Mainly about how they transferred from timber yard to wooden model maker to plastic kit manufacturer, very little RC content but very interesting all the same.

Popular Post Kpowell911
I know Im supposed to be on a break from the Hobby, but Id had a fair few parcels delivered Id not even looked at so I decided to spend an hour or so today. A while back I bought a TL-01 TOMs Supra in terrible condition. But it ticked the box of my Gran Turismo 3 project. Within a few days, I found an even better condition TL-01 TOMs Supra, so I bought that too. It was then I realised that what I REALLY wanted was a TA-02W with a Supra GT Shell..... which is impossibly expensive. My fault entirely, but to make the best of a bad situation, I ordered 2 sets of FRONT Normal 2 Piece wheels. This mean I could at least get the wheels kinds right. There rears wouldnt fit great on a TL-01 with a 10mm offset, so I decided to order 2 sets of fronts, build a pair at +4mm Offset and a pair at +2mm offset for the front. All these came but as I say I didnt even open it. Built up to 4mm. Replacing the old faded single piece wheels. In order to gain a bit more offset, I used some Tamiya Wheel Spacers I randomly ordered with a Plaza Japan order. Its nowhere near great but Im quite happy with the rear at least. Its only a shelfer but Ive left some space on the now cut down body posts to higher it should I choose to run it. The front arch is cut out very big, maybe its meant to be like that but Ive struggled to get that to sit right but overall Im very pleased. Now for a break from RC! 3

Popular Post Yrkoon
i started building a model kit but its not rc........ the gundam seed strike pics need rotated but imgr is been screwed at the moment lol i am not looking forward to the tiny transfers theres my progress, the knees bend and the feet also bend and rotate, fully articulate and no glue or paint, its a joy to build, reminds me of building a tamiya 🙂 first time i built something like this and im impressed with the detail and quality, theres even fully detailed lnternals for the legs that the armour is covering. im that impressed im gonna buy more of them, lot more fun than a revel or air fix kit and the quality is above and beyond so far 🙂 might get the archangel ship next payday to go along with the strike, then the freedom and i just realised i opened a massive money sink lol 😄 just bought the freedom one for about 50 quid, since the strike sucks, its leccy and the freedom has a nuclear reactor 😛 Edited July 11, 2023 by Yrkoon 5

Tug
I've now scrim taped and siliconed the shell, weighs twenty kilos, but should be pretty tough. The last one I did was tough as old boots.
