Hello, so I have this M Series kit and I wonder do people buy them and what are they worth? I'm not using eBay anymore because of their silly antics with money etc. You lot know your stuff, any info is helpful. If it is sellable I'll put an ad up in the for sale section but I have no idea on price. I've been told number from £100-£400 so far, I'd be shocked if that's the case, I could buy a few old Nitros to get going with that sort of doe LOL! It works, the charger was PAT tested for some reason in 2023 🤷🏻♂️ Lord only knows why. Even the little protective film is on the power meter still. Photo's attached. Thanks you lot!

I know some people really do try their luck with 2nd hand parts like that. New ones are around £50 so why would anyone really pay more for a 2nd hand one lol. Anyway, did ya get it going?
-
OH man you can mend it don't pay anyone to do it 😲

Is it a Pure ten alpha? -
Blimey you paid a lot for that, anyway when they dry up they can loose compression. A bit of oil will bring it back, saving you £50 😊

This sounds great! I'm excited to watch it, I'm going to mention it to some friends who race. 👍🏻 -
I won't be using eBay anymore because of their new terms. My MT2 is now for sale, runs and drives, you'll get it how you see it in the photos attached. Servos, engine but no radio gear or shell I'm afraid. £130 inc. Postage UK Mainland. I will post overseas but I'd have to get a price. Thank you lot 🤘🏼

Same here, I have electric for the caravan parks when the kids wanna play. Easy and less noise. But Nitro will always be the real deal. That's right man but you're different. I bet nearly all of a shop like Wheelspins income is from selling cars, I'd imagine they don't really get many repair jobs come in... Well, I'd be very surprised if they do to be honest. Their purpose is to sell products where as you're mobile and I'd imagine you repair more than you sell & install? Your £40 an hour is quite reasonable if you ask me because you have to get there before you even do any work lol. With RC repairs you sit and they come to you! I always mend my own real car because I won't pay someone to do it so to me paying someone to mend a toy is crazy... That being said I'm mending them for people paying me so I need to stop talking now... 🤣

I always say Nitro is a hobby in itself, It's like a sub-hobby of RC Cars if you ask me. Electric is for boring people with no patiance, Petrol is for people who like engines but don't have much patiance to be playing with engines and Nitro is for people who like engines and tinkering AND have patiance for when they need adjusting or the like.

The Ryobi one is very good, I use it and it's more than enough heat.

I recon you're both right, I've been handed things like that before and people expact it to end up like new 😆. I won't touch basket cases like that now I just do non runners and the like. Get them running and then pass them back, even tuning I try to stay away from because getting it into people's heads that if I get it running nicely it could very well be different when they next run it is quite difficult. So their high prices are most likely to cover the time taken to work out what's been done 🤣. No RC car is worth £40 an hour if you ask me though, 3 hours work and that's more than the cars worth lol.
