  1. I'm the chairman of Bexleyheath Shooting club. We have two sections. Shotgun and Air. I shoot in the air section but am hoping to get my shotgun licence and join the shotgun section too. I use a pair of Walther CP88 competitions. I'll add some pics when I get home. In the air section we shoot three disciplines: 22 air rifle. Practical Pistol. El Presidenté. Air Rifle is self explanatory. Two targets 5 shots on each timed. Practical Pistol has two courses ranging from 15-30 targets, two shots on each. El Pres is back to three targets gun holstered in surrender position, turn, draw, two shots on each target. Reload, two shots on each target. Gun clear. I've been El Pres champ the last 2 years running and am currently overall club champ for air section.
  2. Maybe I'll invest in a proper 1/10th racer at some point then and hunt down a local club instead. I just don't know what to do with my hobby at the minute. I've got the 1/8th buggy which I love but all I'm really doing is bashing. and it's no basher really. The chassis is slowly bending and I break something nearly every time I take it out running it up the dirt jumps at my local place. I did take the HBX to a skate park this morning. That was a lot of fun. Nothing broken either
  3. Cleaning today.. Plus a little bit of damage I don't use water when I clean. It's not good for 'good' electronics let alone the Chinese stuff I got in these 😄 I just use a cheapy nylon paint brush to clear the majority of the detritus and the most I remove for a quick clean is the battery tray Rinse and repeat for the other two old toothbrushes help too. I wrap the tatty brush and wet it so it gets back the majority of it's shape I love this stuff on my CVJs, dogbones and diff cups I just add a little in each. It forms a barrier paste that keeps the dirty and the crud out. If I can't get the nozzle in tight I'll dribble it down the shaft and spin the wheels Almost finally done. 3 in 1 oil I dribble a tiny...and i mean tiny amount on a different brush and coat the whole vehicle very lightly with fast strokes Then a rough buffing with the cleanest brush and done! and just to top it off a little lithium grease on the pinion and spur (You guys will have to let me know if the pics are working. This is the first time I've used imgBB and BB code) (I'm hoping this edit fixes it) (back to old school)
  4. Looks good man 🤌Love a Tamiya me. I'm desperate to get myself the BBX BB-01 but 300+ squid is beyond my fun money at the moment especially as i want to put the castle system in it and the slipper clutch like TomleyRC did
  5. Bashed them! Little run up the heath on my own today (not tearing off tights with ma teef 😉) Only about half a pack through the buggy as that's all that was left in the tank. I'd taken it to a mall a few days prior. Still waiting on those wing parts to come but they're in the country now. (might mod the 'stuctural' wing mount and delete the wing all together as I think it'll look awesome without it) Next up was the little beast in the middle... My care regime for them seams to work quite well. Water tends to 'bead up' on surfaces and the whole thing is easier to clean. and finally the Mad Max mobile on the left of the bench This thing rips on stock setup and battery. All I've changed are the rear tyres and removed the wing. All done. drained a pack through each of them. Small breakage on the WLToys today but that's all the damage there was and that part was hot glued on anyways. Edit: Spelling
  6. If no one objects. I'm gonna trim the photos down in my previous post. Otherwise i'm gonna use up all my storage allowance 😛
  7. they haven't changed a lot for the extra 30 quid have they?
  8. No you hold the power button to go in to the menus and navigate with a scroll wheel. you click the scroll wheel to activate the option highlighted and once in the menus the power button becomes the 'back' button
  9. Using a Surpass Hobby 150 ESC in my Buggy. I've got a RocketRC program card coming too. Anyone know if they're compatible? They're both made by Surpass after all. I just didn't realise the program card was a RocketRC one when I bought it
  10. Not sure i should flood a thread with pics after only being here a day or two but... Here's an overview of the DDF-350
  11. I use my DDF-350 all the time. It's a wonderful bit of kit. especially for the price it was from AliEx. and the 6 channel receivers are about 8 quid each. 10 model memory sucks a little bit. That's the only downside i can see from using it though
  12. Be careful. your XT90 isn't fully inserted here
  13. Yep just introducing myself to you all. I'm Ricky or Chunk. Whichever don't mind. Got back in to the hobby after watching a few Kevin Talbot vids and finally finding TomleyRC. My Fleet: ZD Racing Pirates 3 BX-8 #9020 1/8th buggy with a Surpass Hobby 150A ESC, RocketRC 4068 2650Kv Motor with Surpass heatsink and twin fans. Haiboxing 16889A-Pro. Stock. Bashing Body and Shelf Body WLToys 14016 V2. With paddle tyres fitted to rear and spoiler removed. This pic taken today fresh from a bash up the heath. Loads of grip from those rear tyres 🙂
