Asus27
Morning all. Does anyone know how many amps I can select when charging this battery? No other information is on the battery but the charger (rc-d100v2) can go upto 10amps. Got it on balance charge after running flat, set at 5amp see how it goes. Just don't want it blowing up lol
wombat
Hi, I would charge that at 6.7 amps,
Stormbringer
as above 6.7 amps is 1c
Asus27
No idea why that's the answer but thank you. 👊
Stormbringer
1c is the capacity of the battery in amps so a 4000 mah battery charged at 1c = 4A your 6700 mah at 1c is 6.7 A hope that helps

Never been good at this stuff. I know it's not pure maths but I'm not very good with numbers, why I'm skint all the time 😂 The charger saves the settings so at least I know the experts say 6.7a is alright. Its current balance charging it, what would it be as a fast charge. The same? Thanks again for the info guys
Asus27
Any idea what this means and would you alter the setting so it gets closer to the max capacity of the battery?
Stormbringer
it just means the charger will put in 5000mah in then cut off and you can just restart the charging again and it will carry on charging the battery you can change it but not sure how to
Asus27
I know that dude I mean the image above 4ser one. Yeah going to look for a manual online 👍🏻
JonnyUK
Always charge using balance charge. Fast charge won't be good for the lipo cells. You might save a bit of time fast charging but at the cost of replacing batteries.

Yeah going to look for a manual online 👍🏻 Pretty sure it is regarding the cell count check. 'R' would be number of cells detected by the charger. 'S' for the number of cells you have chosen to charge. Kind of a safety check, if the balance lead was faulty/damaged then the charger would think it was a 3 cell lipo etc. The charger asks you to confirm what it thinks you are charging.
