Popular Post steephill
I've had a crawler course in my garden for years. I had quite a few wall building projects with big piles of stone lying around so I've made the most of it for my crawlers. It went most of the way round the garden. I've made a few bits permanent with cement and stone. But most of it originally was stone and rock piled up. Like my stupid user name suggests I live on a steep hill. It's probably nearly 30ft from lowest to the highest point in the garden, so there's plenty of steep climbs and descents. Here's a picture from the cctv which shows most of the recent work I've done. It's good for 1/10 crawlers and good for mini crawlers. Trx4m is a great size for it. The terrain is very unforgiving (when the truck tumbles down it) , mainly sandstone and a strong mix of grit or sharp sand, so very grippy. I've done this so hopefully I can use it all year round. The other stone found in the local area gets slimey in the winter or very wet weather. The Trx4m tarantula is very good on the course. And here's the Bronco coming down a section.. And here's another little line in the Bronco... Thanks for looking and if anyone else wants to show your crawler course, please do.

steephill
Here's another section. This needs linking up to the main part in the middle of the garden pictured above.
markymarky
If you ever move how are you going to describe a big pile of stones and cement in the garden, rock garden perhaps 👨🎤 I would have left some gaps in places where you could have put some low growing plants in. steephill
@markymarky There's plenty of room elsewhere in the garden. 1
steephill
Here's the little capra getting stuck on its skid plate again and again. Can't make it easy. I thought it may have just cleared that section. I did this bit for the mini crawlers. The sendero made it up yesterday.

Stormbringer
no need to drive miles to test out your crawler just pop out to the garden
steephill
Tyre and wheel testing on the Trx4m bronco. Some really tricky lines, no fun if it's to easy.
Stormbringer
Thats really tricky part of your course mate How do the 1/10 scales get on with it ?

It's good for the 1/10 crawlers. The sendero did really good. Scx10 pro is good for it. I don't really like using the trx4s with nice bodies, they get wrecked. The Bronco body is getting a good beating and holding up well. Still got both mirrors.

steephill
Done a few more sections for the mini crawlers. The cement is still drying, might get chance to try it later on before dark.

ad456m
That’s cool! Do you think you’ll end up with mossy bits on it over time?

I'm surrounded by trees, they dump crap all over the garden pretty much all year round. It just takes a bit of maintenance like gardens do. I have stone steps and flags that need cleaning otherwise they can be very slippy (not good for a crawler course).
ad456m
I've got the stuff currently reclaiming my driveway, it really doesn't take long to creep in. I suppose strategic removal could lead to more of a challenge for some lines too.
steephill
Here's some of the new sections I've made for the mini crawlers. Really tricky but fun. If you watch the last part of the climb all it wants to do is chuck the back end out. You really have to pick your line.
