Popular Post monkeyboy_uk
Started to go through the ones I am not likely to run again. Decided to paint up a new shell before I put this Hyper ST up for sale. Think it looks pretty smart. I have a few more I am going to sell too. Keep an eye on the for sale section. Popular Post MrCake
HXB Pro and Capra duo session. The HBX has diffs that are too open, and the tyres are too hard but it is just so much fun. I was tempted to replace the wheels and stick grease in the diffs but I like how it just wants to spin out in loose dirt and requires a gentle throttle to stop it spinning out. It is also so light that crashes and flips are a non-event and I am not left wondering what might have broken like with some of my larger models. The Capra doesn't come out loads as I still prefer the slower measured crawl of my TRX4 but I always forget how amazingly capable it is. I was tempted to get some better tyres than the stock but that might make it almost too capable so sticking for now.

Popular Post BigGinge
Today I put a design together for a foam free tyre foam for my crawler and printed off the parts for the 1st one. Unfortunately I was in too much of a hurry after waiting 8 hours for it to print and forgot to take any pictures before I stuffed it into a wheel. So, the picture below is just one small part of it. After a quick try out of the new insert around the dining room I think it’s probably too stiff in its current form. So I’m going to have to either try and redesign to increase the flex of the part or find some softer filament to use for printing it.
Popular Post Tug
I don't normally run motor fans, prefer to gear accordingly and just let the motor reach its working temperature. However, to avoid damaging an expensive item, I've added this. Sounds like a jet taking off. I had to move the motor temp probe, not entirely happy with its new location, so may review that. Shame I'm not better skilled at metal working or I'd router out a slot on the underside of the heatsink for the probe to sit in.
