CUPRABullet
Made some stone guards for the front of the chassis on my Rival MT10. Seems to me that when things get muddy and the front wheels are on lock they will fire all sorts of rubbish straight into the chassis tray and the esc/battery. Might be me being over cautious but can't hurt to have a bit more protection.

Nomsicle
Changed the gearing on the Baja to 55/19 with a steel spur and put on a vented clutch bell. Keen to try it! Edited July 21, 2020 by Nomsicle
Popular Post oodboo
I put some decals on. I used to hate doing decals, rushed it and they never looked good. Now I'm taking my time, using some tips from YouTube and doing a much better job of it.
Popular Post Yrkoon
well after thrashing the lunch box about the garden i had to change the steering servo as the old one i put in it conked out, got that sorted then i noticed i had broke the 2 wee springs that are at the side of the gear box, i was gonna do the 5th shock mod anyway so i have just finished doing that here is lunchie the moment i finished building this morning : first go's in the garden : to finish some pics when i was doing the shock mod : i used a ftx surge shock in the end busy day with the lunchie but it is awesome fun in the rough garden and it tips less than i thought it would edit : had to move my esc when doing the shock mod but on the plus side i don't have to take of the shell to get to the battery connector now and yes the standing up thing in one of the pics just seems to happen some times, it's wheelie bar just seems to catch the ground and pivot it facing towards the sky, had that happen about 3 times now lol loving the lunchie on stock motor Edited July 22, 2020 by Yrkoon
Tug
Fitted my new FID servo brace for the 5ive and various similar platforms. 😉 Quick test in the garden resulted in the rear axle lifting clear off the deck, some tweaking may be needed, but I can do that in the field.

oodboo
Tried extending the wheelbase of this 144001, managed an extra 5mm, still way off my target so will probably have to use something else.

Tug
Finally tackled the stuck pinion on the 520kv motor. Never had to use that much heat before, but it's done now, and most importantly without any damage.
Tug
Also figured out why the brakes on the X2 were hit and miss, so that's another problem sorted.
ghazghul
Made two more tube sections to solder onto chass but having a nightmare getting them to stay in place to solder. A big bag of crocodile clips is helping, but I've started unsoldering other bits mucking around with too much heat and so everything is taking longer. I think after these bits I'll call it done and start working out where the battery is mounting.

wolfie1
So got the 5.9 installed in place of the 7.7, found that the engine sat too low using the gsr engine mount and the clutch bell gear was catching on the rear brake assembly, made a couple of spacers and that sorted that , finding an exhaust to fit was an issue as it had to fit around the roto start but also clear the shock, ordered a new exhaust but the radius was too big so had to swap over the manifold with 1 from another car, have now ran 4 tanks through and so far so good Edited July 27, 2020 by wolfie1
Tug
Castle 1800kv, 4283 motor out, Neu 1515 1Y F, 2200kv, 4274 motor in. Now eight shocks to swap.
