  1. Finally got around to do the steering mod for the FS-GT3B.
  2. Thanks 👍, I'm pleased how it turned out, I got this from l&l models if your interested.
  3. Test run a trailer I made but ran into a little problem, I snapped the part near the hitch, so back to the drawing board on that.
  4. It's a jeep cherokee, trx4 are pretty good, I've got the bronco but also got the kit, might just build both of the chassis and see what it's like on them, they have been sitting around for a little while.
  5. Thanks, I'm not to sure yet, I've got a couple kits I've not built, going to be either venture or Trx4, depends on the wheelbase, think they are about the same not sure.
  6. Past few days I've been painting this, first time done any weathering on something this size and for some years, i've only ever done it on small model kits as a kid.
  7. Thanks, Yes made them from scratch, I try and make most things first before I buy, I used my wife's clay that you bake in the oven and it sets hard like plastic, will see how they stand up to a little abuse.
  8. I think that was 1 of the first upgrades I did on my tt then the servo.
  9. That's a bit of good news, personally I've never had any problems with hpi customer service but not had any contact with them for past few years, I know they have changed hand a couple times, but it's good to know they are still on the ball, I've heard from a Lhs that they are making a big comeback, but we will see.
  10. Love the colour, is that the tamiya colour shift paint?
  11. Is that a 2 shoe clutch? I got rid of that and got 3 pin flywheel and had the 3 shoe setup.
  12. I changed my diff cups for irc's which for past several years had some stick can't fault them, changed servos, screw set because hpi screws are rubbish or at least them in my tt was, but for the clutch, servos and wheels coming off you've described nearly every rc I have. 😀
  13. Finished making my driver, turned out better than I thought they would.
  14. Thanks, I found a website for American personalised number plates and you can choose what background you want and type in what you want on it and all I did it screenshot it crop the image, print out to the size I want on to inkjet sticker paper, spray very fine layer of clear coat on so it don't smudge, you got to stick it on white background so I use modelling plastic and cut out a frame and backboard, paint the frame what ever colour you want, add rivet detail and glue it all together and gave it another coat of clear lacquer to seal it all in. Job done.
  15. No problem, I get your disappointment specially if you not had it long, I had same with a kit, I had couple parts missing and you would think from a top brand this wouldn't happen but unfortunately it does but I'm sure when you get your clutch problem sorted you will have hours of fun with it, like with any rc with a few upgrades if you can get hold of any at the moment it will be bullet proof. Really should dust my truggy and get it out again.
  16. Made some number plates for the bronco.
  17. I lost my manual so I follow the downloaded one on the hpi website, both of the bearings are 5x10x4 on my truggy.
  18. Not done anything on my car but I started sculpting a driver for my sand scorcher, will show more pictures when done.
  19. Finished painting couple days ago, just screwed in windscreen and lights and added couple decals and fitted to the chassis.
