Alex97
Started making the chassis for the speed project (I need to give it a name, any ideas) this afternoon... For now it's just held in place with expoxy but the plan is to drill and hold them in with nuts and bolts once the glue has set.
Nomsicle
Put a new shell on the hyper and some t bone bumpers I had laying around. Couldn't find a hyper shell in stock anywhere so made a trophy buggy one fit. Not the prettiest thing but this buggy is function over form really anyway.
RCbutcher
Lowerd my traxxas slash fitted new ring gear after the idk I think I might have dropped it now chipped it slightly replaced that fitted the alloy cup I had to mill out alittle for the bar to seat. But now I dont think the orings are working as good. Hopefully its just over filled and seeping excess oil and will stop either way it has to be this way for now until I get new orings to try. Or green slime? I have that never used. But right now just glad to have it lowerd to test the body and hope the wheel arches are filled out now the body sat too high at its lowest point. Wider hexs should arrive monday. I think it has around 10mm ground clearance still at its lowest point I put a 12mm screw under it and it just fits but the ends are slightly lower than the centre of the chassis. It bottoms out on full compression. Camber needs readjustment. 1 step closer tho.

No brains
put some alloy chubs with bearings and alloy knuckles on my ta-03rs and changed the motor on it, it had a 380 finned 3000kv brushless motor in it, but the motor get hot so I swapped it for a normal 3654 hobbywing 3800kv motor and put a smaller pinion in it. the rest the day I was busy making packages for a lot of stuf that I am selling, a lot of stuff I do not need so I am clearing out.

Tug
Charged up new cells for a quick rip in the park, then her sister stops for a socially distanced chat and catch-up. The charger is now storing the unused cells.

Tug
Spent three hours making new battery boxes for the DBXL conversion, they're better than the V1, but still quite ugly. They're in and ready for testing. Took the Scorpion XXL VE for a rip and within 90 seconds I'd ripped off the T-Bone rear skid/bumper and torn a Proline Badland rear tyre. However, it did survive several horrible landings!

Just a few tweaks to today's efforts and she's done.

Yrkoon
i broke the tamiya servo saver i had on my brushed triton in a impact with dads brushless one, so had to fix that, all good now also had my tamiya sand viper out on it's 17 turn motor and a 2s lipo, thanks to no oil left in the shocks it was very bouncy and i done 1 cart wheel too much, ended up snapping the back suspension tower, oh well that tower was about 10 year old, about time it broke i had it fixed pretty fast, got a spare dt-02 sand viper kit for 80 quid years ago and it has paid for it self tbh, use so many random parts and screws in other models Edited June 15, 2020 by Yrkoon
Popular Post No brains
So my brain has a new project, I bought a m chassis vw t1 body, and I have a ta-03rs chassis in parts that I have to rebuild, so I think I am going to make some sort of a low rider bus from them, I tested the body on my ta-03rs porsche chassis and yes it fits nice it is a long term project, I have to build my m-05 first and rebuild a ta-03f first.
Ag100
Trimmed, masked and began the painting on the new Phat Bodies Turbo shell. a basic two colour design, no window masks meant I had to do my own, and there is a small bleed, but should clean up. Used Core Rc Clear Sparkle first, then Neon Pink, one coat so far.
Popular Post Ag100
Finished painting the Phat Bodies Turbo body today, it’s ok, but the masking tape was not the best and there is some bleed through, will try and clean up, looks ok if you don’t examine to closely.
Tug
Gave the DBXL a rip, lost a couple of bolts due to lack of threadlock, but that's all sorted now.
