OK sound advice guys ty. I didn't think of things like behind axle steering or different gearing front/rear Is it possible to install shocks angled to head towards a low COG crawler?? Or is that more of an advanced modification that needs 3d printing (which I don't have)

That HPI looks pretty solid. Tbf, I don't really know what I should be looking for in a builders kit. I've only ever used a TRX 4, so haven't had experience with 100% locked diffs and no portals Like what's the advantage of that HPI chassis over the scx 10, trx 4 or enduro for example Are there limits to certain kits?? Can I fit any body to any chassis?

That's great to hear, this next crawler is going to be my project for the next few years. So I needed to make sure I did see alot of amazing bodies out there only to see that it's designed for the Axial models (was abit jelous) Does the scx 10 II have permanently locked diffs?? I can't remember

Evening all, its been a while since I've been here, hope everyone's doing well So, I recently sold my TRX 4, I'm looking to build somthing abit more personal with a toyota hilux pickup shell. Trx 4 was great, but I kinda felt like I was cheating by buying an RTR. Looking to build somthing from a kit. (No portals this time) was looking at an SCX 10 2 kit. Would you say the kit is still relevant or is it abit outdated now?? Would it be worth grabbing an scx10 3 and removing portals?? (If it's possible) Also does having 2 gears really matter?? Would a 4 cell single speed be plenty?? Cheers!!

After 5 days, finished building/painting my Kyosho Scorpion XXL kit. My 1st from scratch build, very pleased with the results. No electronics yet though

That's good, it's pretty solid tbf already, supose it's easy enough to adjust. Is a little wobble ok?? It's a smooth gasket, same color as sand paper though.

Hi all. Currently building my car but have an issue with my spur gear spring. Guide states to tighten until the shaft is 2mm out of nut, but when it gets this tight, I get wobble. 1mm and basicly no wobble Without the spring it's perfect so it's not a bent shaft. Dodgy spring maybe?

Do you know if its lithium based?? How long have you had it in for?

Evening all. Today I started building my new kit, but had to stop immediately as I came across issues (kit error and my curiosity) So, following the instructions it states that I need to grease the outdrives in the diff using the included grease(that was missing lol). What grease do I need for this?? Is it lithium or silicone?? Or somthing else. 2nd, the guide instructs me to assemble the transmission (metal gears) without any grease at all. Which sounds like a bad idea to me, which grease is needed for this area?? Or is it really none?? This is the 1st time I've ever assembled a car from scratch, dosent give much advise on anything and after an hour of google searches, I realise theres alot of grease out there.

Cheers @Derka. in your opinion, which oil would be somthing in the middle?? This is the 1st time I've built a car from scratch. Just looking to get it running, I'm happy to change oil later, but need middle reference if that makes sense. For diff and shocks

Hi all. I'm looking at grabbing the oils I need to build my new car. In my manual (kyosho) its recommends shock oil #450 which takes me to 450wt oil and #7000 diff which just says sil7000. Is the 450wt actually 450wt or 45wt??? I've read a graph about how losi have their own ways sometimes, my traxxas is simple wt It's a 1/7 scale 2wd buggy Need to get them ordered today ready for the weekend. Thanks in advance guys

What shock oil are you guys using??

Any thought on if its gna happen in January with all the virus going on?? I go every year, but right now it's not looking positive. However the virus is calming down alot and the winter would help kill it. Thoughts??

Are they the ones that slot together? Looking at XT90/XT60 atm, I hear good things about them.

I get it now, just watched a french guy on youtube, seems simple enough, I have a dremel, but there may be a chance I can just stick on on a lathe. Do I need the whole CEN diff or just that 1 part?? Or you can just post a link to what I need 😅 not too good at finding stuff.

Ok, when you say skillful modding, do you mean something super difficult or simple but common sense is required?
