After the ordeal with the threadlocked screw comes the pleasure of fitting the new parts for the Rustler.

- New Alloy hubs.

- Fastrax CVDs.

Ready to bash across the Fulbourn Fen again.

So much about alloy hubs & knuckles.

Went for a bash and the steering knuckle bent.

Plastic brakes, alloy bents... What solution is out there????

Plastic bends and bends back, this is why some of the strongest cars are plastic, avoid metal unless its on the drive train imo.
Whats the solution?, mmm tough one get lots of cheap plastic spares? or stronger steering eg 1/8th scale buggy hubs, but that might be tricky to fit on 1/10.
Titanum hubs or some custom milled ones that arnt made from pot alloys?

Looking at your speedo, thinking of getting one myself.

Went for some speed runs today and really want to know what speed my son is hitting with his Carnage.

Speed run time for my son:

Actually I went out with him today to film him with my Rustler.

He outright refused!

My Rustler is too slow!

Left me somewhat speechless....

Been attacking the chassis I got at the weekend. I'm lost as to what make it is. But I'm attempting to use my rc4wd mojave body on it. Almost impossible. Trying to work out how to mount the motor and gearbox in.  Can't get it in with. A a servo in. B the bonnet shuts. C both.

Can I give up now. Yay what fun. Lol

Right. After God knows retrying to get it in right.  Final fit gearbox in so bonnet closes right. Next job is body mounts and sort suspension put. Bit soft at the moment.

Want to keep it on leaf springs. But got to see about sorting them out.

I know nothing about these, and have a severe dislike for this genre of RC, however, those first two pics had me convinced this was a 1:1!

...I totally knackered the dual rates in my helicopter, not knowing that in the radio I have you don’t simply set each channel but have to set each DIRECTION individually, so mine is now all over the shop - but I still managed to make progress with my hover! 😂🤣

Thanks. Once I'm finished fingers crossed it will look very much like a real car. That's why I spent so long trying to get it on this chassis. As it is a proper scale set up one.  This is a slow project build as its not cheap to go full scale. But it's worth it for the looks
