It begins HERE!

An expensive hand made motor from mr Neu. The Neu 1527 / 0.5Y, rated at 6-8hp (which is a 3088hp/ton ratio in my Slash lol), this is the 2500kv Competition Wind for additional precision and performance.

and it's HUGE. Boasting over 4" and an 8mm shaft.

Traxxas VXL --- Castle-Neu 1515 2200kv --- Neu 1527

I've also got a King Headz motor brace with the larger bearing. Front MIPs are on the way and I've got lots of steel to fabricate a custom, strong, centre shaft. Also have 17mm hex conversion to run bigger buggy wheels.

As the motor can apparently pull 200amps continuous I have a very special ESC on the way as well.

Watch this space. It will be a couple of weeks before I've got it all built and prepared for this motor, I'm very excited.

Blimey Nick you like yours BIG don't you? Even with the upgraded driveshaft, I'm guessing the slash's drivetrain won't last more than 10 minutes with that beast.

Love this though

1) £275 including delivery, tax etc. I got stung pretty bad.

2) Neu have a list of motors then you can chose between a few alterations, the 0.5Y isn't listed on their website however because of the complexity in the windings, it's fairly unknown.

3) Upto 6s but I'll be starting it off on 3s, lol.

4) 6-8 weeks

5) MGM X-Series, you won't find much on these! They are absolute beasts! And only available on special request. Made to order with many customizations. I have a mine waterproofed.

Doing lots of upgrades. It needs to be bullet proof, I say project because I know this motor will destroy the Slash, my goal is to make it so it doesn't!

I plan to double up the motor plates and support the back of the motor with something to.

That VXL already blew up other week at Leeds. A few people were witness to that. That's my 5th(?) one now?

Christ on fire Nick, thats a little on the large side! Might be worth investing in the motor clamps on this page to hold the motor in place - I'm thinking about getting some for the Lightning. Looking forward to seeing it (hopefully) go
