Righto,
Well after reading up on this i purchased 2 powder packs of royal blue rit dye, got myself a nice hefty stainless steel pot and set about dyeing it following the most common procedure...
Give the tank a good clean.
Got a metal coat hanger and set the tank so it was not touching the pot in any way.
Bought the water to a boil.
Added the dye and stirred till dissolved.
Left it all to simmer for a good 7/8 hours checking it was still fully submerged and topping up the water.
Now i have read that this can be a very long process, but after a couple of hours the colour started to change but nearly 24 hours on the colour has not changed.
I am now left with a colour only describable as "CHEWITS PINK"..... FANTASTIC.
Gutted, does anyone know or better yet has any one had this issue and managed to rectify it? Or is it a case of whacking the tank on ebay in the desperate hope there is a crazed loon out there who wants a chewit themed baja???
