    Tried to "sell me" a Pro 3 Hara Edition. Googling this email address shows many hits on various forums, for all sorts of different things. Repeated scammer. He claims to have the exact item someone is looking for, but doesn't.

    My girlfriend will be doing a 5k charity run, in order to raise money for her friend, who suffers from MS.

    This is part of a larger crowdfunding effort, which will allow her friend to go abroad and receive experimental treatment, which is not available in the UK.

    Had a really lovely moment on-board the ship this morning, when all of the Malaysian crew members experienced snow for the very first time in their lives. They were so happy and excited! Taking photos an videos and calling their families to share it.

     

    That'll stay with me for a while. 🙂

    Just ordered my first Tamiya Mini 4WD. 

     

    For no real reason, other than because it looks cool. Don't even know if I'll ever have a chance to use it! :lol:

      No, no... I mean the Mini 4wd series; with the tiny 1/32 race cars that run on the rails and look a bit like Scalextric, but without the slot.

       

      I really like the idea of the "racing" being done in the pits, by setting- up the cars for a specific track and then seeing them blast around, with the winner being the guy who did the best job.

       

      I found this one, which I just love the look of:

    Finally, after years of looking, I've found myself another Taiyo Heads Up Hopper, in yellow... which was my first ever RC!

     

    Not sure what I'll actually do with an old, toy-grade buggy, of course, but I'm looking forward to it! Nostalgia is a powerful thing.

     

    Anyway, it's collectible and rare, so I'm sure I can sell it on for no loss, if nothing else! :lol:

      haha paul was the same when i read the post too haha mine first half decent rc was a Nikko F1 racer in black looked like the jps F1 had 2 speeds and on second speed it would beat my mates hopper and hornets haha 🤣

      can also remember those countdown clockwork chargers lobbed on dad cars battery when he wasnt looking lol

      A nice find, nice to get one back.

      My first RC was the Taiyo Mini Hopper. I still have it and the box it came in. I  remember making a Lego trailer for it to deliver Christmas presents (I never got that Big Trak).

      I don't let my 6 yr old play with the little Hopper. He can break my Tamiya instead.

      Just went looking now for the first ever RC car I can remember owning which was a black & gold Porsche.
      This was back in maybe 1987 at a guess, ...thank goodness for Google images as I found out it was a Taiyo Porsche 911 Targa. 
      Brings back interesting and happy memories. ❤️

      My cousin Max Coates raced in BTCC couple years back, doing Mini's at moment, not sure what his plans are this year!

       

      Would love to see more manufacturers join BTCC again, very few different cars on track.

      Rich, from what I gather, Dan wasn't "dumped" from Team Dynamics, even though most are saying that. It was apparently the same sort of reason why Tingram had to leave Speedworks; contractual/sponsor obstacles.

       

      Shame, because as much as I like Matt Neal, Dan Cam & Flash would make one heck of a team!!

      We'll have to wait and see. Unfortunately, due to the engine development freeze, they'll still be the very slowest in a straight line.

      The incidents though.......!!!! Marquez' crash was bad but Zarco and Morbidelli crash was frightening :scared:

      Crazy no-one was killed, seeing it from Rossi's camera is terrifying :shockingscary:

    Trying to heat-treat some CS70 annealed steel strips, to make leaf springs.

     

    But, everytime I heat-treat (with butane torch) and immerse in water, it doesn't really get "springy". It's a little harder and more sprung, but not enough and any real application of force just results in it staying in the new shape.

     

    Any advice?

      Make sure that you keep moving it while in the liquid, the bubbles will displace the water causing it to cool slower.

    Can anyone recommend a good brushed motor (35t, or similar) to run in my Gmade Komodo on 3s?

    I've got a Yeah Racing Hackmoto V2, which is a lovely motor, but it's rotation-direction is wrong for this truck and goes much faster in reverse. I need one that is either non-biased, or biased towards turning clockwise from the pinion-end.

      Well, I'm hoping the 5 slot will be up to the task. If not, I'll explore further options.

      Forward is at 100% and reverse is at 50%, but still massively faster than forwards.

      Yeah I know the motor can be adjusted, I just screwed it up last time and don't want a repeat!

      Try putting the 1080 to full power in reverse as well and retry the speeds
      It's possible you need to swap the motor leads and that reverse on the 1080 just now is being used to power the motor forwards (hence the slower speed)

      I sent you a message on FB and i have some rebuildable motors here so if you need a hand adjusting the motor i can do a quick video and show you how to do it with no risk.
