  1. Hi guys, finished this a few weeks back. Chassis and all the alloy and carbon parts are made by me, most for sale on my website. I painted the shell too Im on a few american clodbuster groups and every truck I see on there is proper loud in colour or emulating a rear monster truck, I decided to keep things a bit more subtle and british

  5. I need to take the ET410.2 out with the missus so I have a cameraman. Properly epic fun. Thing drives beautifully and flys through the air like it has wings. So well balanced, even if I have stuck a 3660 can in there and relocated the radio. I reckon it could easily take 3s.

  6. Some parts for a very special TA-02 build. And a second set of VQS Hi Cap dampers, but still no VQS Why 2 sets of dampers for a buggy I don't own and you can't even buy yet? I don't know, this hobby makes no sense sometimes and that's just how it is

  15. as dre said above mate, would you keep ahpi one stock if you found one ? you have a few options though, the rovan and km as stated above, my opinion is the km is the better option, but rovan are getting better, yes for the most part everythings interchangeable between hpi/rovan/km, although same as any platform some minor mods may be needed, so you could buy a second hand hpi and so a complete strip and rebuild, that way you make it into a kit then rebuild, buy a new km or rovan and do a complete strip, again make a kit and rebuild, scratch build from parts, and add the mods you want from the get go, and fit engine you want, 26cc/ 29cc/ 32cc etc etc, the last option could be expensive though buying all new parts and then building, but you could build the car you personally want, i-rc chassis and chassis brace , bonehead rc carbon parts or turtle racing or uber or i-rc etc, do a little research and do yerself a price list on parts, then decide if thats the way you wanna go, rcmodelz stock every part km and rovan, plus the area rc and various other upgrade parts, an alloy diff case/gearbox is a must if you bash hard, turtle racing do the gearbox as do km/rovan, whatever you do DO NOT build a full alloy one if your gonna bash it, it will bend and break, keep a few plastic parts in there that will flex a little and take some of the shock out in a big crash, ie; bulkheads, a arms etc, or you could just buy a used hpi or new km/rovan, bash it, break it and repair with upgrade parts as ya go,

  16. Yeah I'm deffo chuffed with the looks and how they perform. Only had 10 mins or so with them on the rocks so far but they work really well on my sandstone and granite course [emoji41] Sent from my BLN-L21 using Tapatalk

  25. Bearings from the start mate as with any Tamiya. its very similar build wise to the hi-lift chassis, only bit to keep a eye on is the gearbox build, ive made small mistakes that can cause a massive problem. oh and make sure the rear axles are the correct way round, ive also had the wheels going toward each other that makes the back end hop lol. you know where I am though mate

  26. I've had my Venture SBK for pretty much 18 months now. It drives really well. I was also impressed with most of the quality, with the exception of some of the bearings being a loose fit in the transmission gears. It's not been out for a while, but will be soon. Austar body. Holmes torquemaster 540 30t motor and an old but good Castle MMP esc. Imade up rrear body mounts and some other parts from delrin and used magnets to mount the body.

  27. I’ve spent a bit of time on mine the past couple of days. Fabricated some bumpers for it that were originally for my old Defender. Also drastically improved the lighting on it. Very happy with the result. Electrics wise, it’s running a Holmes Hobbies CrawlMaster Sport 12T with a Hobbywing 1080. Brilliant combo, it crawls so well! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
