  1. I've got nothing but respect for this little buggy after the beating it took today - What a tough little RC!
  2. I've had mine for a week or so now. Yet to take it out for a proper rip around. There is a few common issues out of the box... The two most common are the poorly fitted factory decals (as seen above) and the fact the rear end of the body has lots of excessive flex. I've already come up with a solution for the rear flex and my solution for the bubbled and wrinkled decals was to just simply remove them. My front right wheel needed shimming behind the brake rotor as the wheel was super wobbly. My front sway bar was also popped off out the box too.
  3. Thanks for the help guys. Somebody on Facebook managed to solve the issue, I'll copy and paste their instructions below, in case anyone else has the issue in the future: ''Turn only the radio on in programming mode. Set endpoint to maximum by the wheel and the ST rate knob. Turn the wheel to the right and run the knob down to minimum, stop for a sec then turn to Max. Return wheel to center and do the same on the other side. Do the same for the throttle. Remember that up to this point the car is off! Turn radio off and then on in bind mode. Rebind and calibrate the receiver. You should now have full throw each way. Verify steering trim center and move the arm as needed. Verify throttle trim center. Do an esc calibrate. Now try endpoint procedure you've been doing already and then finally recalibrate receiver as per manual again.'' So if I understand this correctly, I think my problem was due to the steering rate on the transmitter not being correct out of the box... I'm just pleased its not a dodgy servo.
  4. I just picked up an infraction this week. I also have some inner fenders coming as well as some titanium rear skid plates. I thought I would power it on this afternoon to check everything works... I noticed the steering steers further one way to the other - For the life of me I can't figure out what's causing it. It's as though the steering servo just will not move past a certain point to give me full lock on one side. I have set the end points twice and whilst setting the endpoints, the steering is still limited on the one side, even if I try to max out the end point, the servo just stops reacting to inputs past a certain point (whereas the other side reaches full lock no problem). Am I being dumb or???
  5. Yeah, it was my first time there - It's really breathtakingly beautiful isn't it? I'm gonna take my girls there at some point without the RCs (maybe I'll sneak a crawler in the boot )

Yeah, thanks I figured, just thought I'd make sure is all. This thread actually kinda jump started me to properly start thinking about building my own today though, and costing up materials etc I've sketched one 600mm high, 1200mm wide and it'll cost £65-£70 in materials to build (I'll still need to find the time, but at least I have a plan of attack now)
  8. I'm planning on buying a Proline Sumo body for an FTX Outback 2 as I want to try and recreate a Suzuki Samurai I owned about 15 years ago (yea I know its a bit of a 'marmite' kinda 4x4 but I got it for £50 so it was a no brainer and it turned out to be a very capable little 4x4 ) It was a strange colour though - Kind of slightly metallic turquoise/blue. I was thinking to use Core RC's metallic blue with a white backing, but I'm not sure I'll be happy with it. Tamiya offer a lot more colour options, and their cobalt green looks close(ish) but I think its too green? Does anybody have any recommendations or suggestions for colours or combos that would get me close (without going down the airbrush route)? Thanks!

Are these sold? I've been wanting to make a ramp, but just haven't had the time...
  10. Honestly amazed at just how much abuse the xmaxx can take!
