  1. I originally though it was the esc at fault, but I tried a different radio and receiver and it worked with no problems. Might have been a receiver problem as the tx worked with a new rx
  2. So I have a bit of a weird one. The fs-gr3e receiver I'm using doesn't provide any input to the throttle on the tx but will work just fine if I plug in the steering servo to ch2. I've bound and tried another tx and tried again with the same outcome. All the trims are set to zero aswell as the endpoints. Forgive me if this sounds confusing
  3. I'm trying to design inner wheel wells to stop a lot a mud etc from spraying up, but it's a lot more difficult than I thought [emoji23] Anyone has ago at making them? The most I've done so far
  4. Oooo nice! Have you managed to get it working? Sent from my SM-G986B using Tapatalk
  5. For the hpi wr8 rims, only the wr8 tires will fit. The off road rims have a slightly wider width and only the off road tyres fit them. The tarmac and gymkhana tyres will fit the gymkhana rims. The onroaf rims are 1.9 and the offroads are 2.2. I'm sure there are other tyres that will fit them rims, but I haven't tried any others. These are some of the tyres that will fit. https://www.modelsport.co.uk/tyres/rc-car-categories/9960/996010&ManufacturerID=18&MSAttributeID%5B58%5D=973?products%5Bquery%5D=hli%20wr8%20tires%20 Sent from my SM-G986B using Tapatalk
  6. Hello! For the brake disks, I've never used them before but the hpi wr8 is true 1/8th scale but is more of the 1/10th scale. They should fit but I won't be able to say for sure. The tyres that fit the wr8 rims are 57X80mm. I have bought wheel and tyre set from ebay which were made to fit the wr8 for about £15 and they are very decent tyres. 7. Yeah but only so far. You can adjust the height by moving the shocks at different mounting holes. The ones I currently have will be ok for me at the moment but the shocks bottom out before the chassis hits the floor. So next time I would try these https://www.modelsport.co.uk/index.php?product_id=427695
  8. No worries [emoji106] At the moment I am using a 4000mah 3s but I am able to fit a 5000mah 4s as I 3d printed myself a new battery tray. For the shocks I used 4 of them front and back. As they have 2 sizes for front and back. 84mm and a longer size. The shock shaft is slightly smaller than standard but the quality is much better, so the larger ones would be better. 9. Welcome! Have a look at jazrider parts on ebay. All my parts are jazrider which I've had on for a few years now and so far haven't broke 1 part of it. The expensive upgrades are the hpi upgrades. For the suspension you can look for the proline powerstrokes front shocks which is the most common shock upgrade. For cheaper suspension, I've gone for the fastrax 85mm adjustable shocks which are decent but next time I would go for the longer ones. The pinion gear you can fit a large as you can get. I've got a 25t pinion and it fits no problem. What 3s lipo do you have? Sent from my SM-G986B using Tapatalk
  10. So I haven't had the chance to take mine out yet due to the rain and the fpv gear not being waterproof at the time. So today I waterproofed the fpv transmitter and camera and made up a splash guard that hopefully will somewhat protect the camera from dirt and debris hitting the lense. Definitely not pretty but hopefully it will work Sent from my SM-G986B using Tapatalk
  11. Oh I love fpv! Got a few fpv vehicles and now the wr8 is one of them. I haven't taken this out yet as I just finished mounting everything up, but I will try and get a video up once I take it out. Sent from my SM-G986B using Tapatalk
  12. So I decided I wanted to fpv the wr8, so I quickly made a mount to fit the centre diff top mount and so far works great
  13. I haven't used them yet but they seem decent. They seem great for the price. I may need to replace the springs with stiffer ones as the shocks fail to return to normal after compression. But other than that they are good!
  14. Thanks mate! They are fastrax ones. Cheap but they seem pretty beefy https://www.modelsport.co.uk/index.php?product_id=427694 Sent from my SM-G986B using Tapatalk
  15. 3d printed myself a new battery tray to accompany a larger 4s lipo [emoji106] Waiting on a new motor and esc so I can mount the esc behind the battery tray Sent from my SM-G986B using Tapatalk
