Clicked 'Order' for a Schumacher Atom 2 S2.

Nice, any idea on what shell you will use?

Hi, I've ordered the Bitty Agata shell. Was just saying it seems to have more detail than a lot of the others available. I've rendered my design on photoshop and can't wait to get masking!

Fitted alloy chassis braces, alloy centre diff cup and new servo arm to the Kronos

Have you run it yet. It looks a bit too clean :P

Took the Merv out to see how the servo would hold up after I span the offending cog 180, also turned the TSM completely off, to see if that had anything to do with it. After 40 mins of playing on tarmac, grass and few jumps the car has ran perfectly, still got spares on order as I no doubt wil need them in future but I’m more than happy with how it runs right now. Once I start getting parts in I’ll start a build thread and update on everything I add, including my opinion on the parts used.

I checked my rear and front diffs, looking good so didn't bother to replace the oil (unlike the center diff that was nice and grey when I did it last week, and also a little low).

Also replaces the screws that hold the ring gear on.  It was tough going screwing into the differential case composite, and the heads of the screws didn't fair well on the initial build.  Nothing too bad, but  I've swapped them over to new ones.  I've kept the old ones to use on the receiver and servo box mounts, as they don't come off very often.

Switched out the stock SS 20 WR servo in my Savage XS as it died, replaced it with a Hpi SS 40 WP that I had kicking around, metal gears, higher torque and waterproof. Seems alot more responsive than the stock one, result.

Was going to go with a alloy horn but was to long, hit the centre driveshaft, so had to use the stock plastic one.

I thnik i need to replace my stock servo on my Savage X too, it seems to be lagging on the turns due to the wheel width. I was thinking of getting a bangood servo or maybe even a Savox

Finally got all the electrics to fit the WPL C14 (last job was a small battery wire extension so I can actually get the 2S connected without taking the whole thing apart.  Now I have to strip it down and loctite / grease where appropriate and maybe re-paint the chassis rails.

Removed the stock aluminium steering Draglink and replaced with a new carbon one with bearings, this removes steering play (and it looks good in carbon!), replaced standard plastic spur with a Hot Racing Steel Sprur and replaced standard 4850kv motor with a new 6850 kv, also change the stock pinion to a Hot Racing steel one, changed all the wheel bearings to some new ones form RC Bearings uk and then refitted everything, hopefully all works tomorrow😬

Re-soldered the esc with 14awg cable and tidied up the install, there really is little room in these little buggy’s, but I think this is much better.

Did some early morning soldering.  I really need the proper crimp tool for the connectors.

Winch controller ? Pretty neat soldering , as you say though easier with the crimps...

Swapped the full size servo for a low profile one and put some foams in and glued the tyres in the MF01x.

The savox was overkill and quite slow, the low profile one is better suited to the chassis in my opinion.

Cut more off the body I'm trying out.

Decided I'd so a half red half light green job with some flame work on it.  I'd love a full on hot rod job but I'm no where near good enough for that.

Converted an old servo to a winch and fitted it to the VS4-10. As the spool was quite large it was fouling the links but a quick 3D printed spacer sorted it out.
