  1. Wheel bearings and spacers for the bullet and new servo gears for the MERV, bullet is now rebuilt and awaiting run up tomorrow the MERV servo can wait for now but they’ll both be out for fun tomorrow
  2. Took the Merv out to see how the servo would hold up after I span the offending cog 180, also turned the TSM completely off, to see if that had anything to do with it. After 40 mins of playing on tarmac, grass and few jumps the car has ran perfectly, still got spares on order as I no doubt wil need them in future but I’m more than happy with how it runs right now. Once I start getting parts in I’ll start a build thread and update on everything I add, including my opinion on the parts used.
  3. Ah, the Ruroc, see them on every mountain I’ve been on, good helmets and good to see they have expanded the range to motorsport
  4. Bit about me, I’ve owned a HPI bullet ST 3.0 gen 1 for about 3 years now, had a lot of fun with it but boy can it be a pain in the ass. Just purchased a 1/16 E Revo VXL and took delivery yesterday. Absolutely love the new car and it’s a blast to play with, so the Nitro has been passed down to my son, try and get him hooked. Currently awaiting more spares to get it on the road again! and as I’m sure many of you are aware the E Revo managed to strip some teeth off the servo within the first 30 mins, so I moved the offending gear around and it’s back to working for now, got some gears on order for it already but the question I have now is can you fit the 2080x metal gears into the 2080? Has anyone tried this and what results did they have or should I just bite the bullet and upgrade the whole unit on its next failure? I must add I like to tinker and really don’t mind stripping things down, not a fan of repair by replace if it can be helped.
  5. Red Loctite isn’t permanent, it’s just stronger, it would be overkill on an RC car though
  6. Thank you, already noticed this issue, going to get some CVDs for the front as the rear seems fine, had a good look at it and it appears it’s due to the suspension travel whilst throwing in some steering
  7. Just bought a HPI bullet ST 3.0 for my first hobby grade car, loving it at the moment and just in the process of getting it tuned up right
