  1. Changed the pinion gear on my Arrma typhon after it sheared 3 teeth
  2. @Madmini thanks. Where can I get on of these sims and which platforms are supported?
  3. Hi, Does anyone have any experience with the esky king 3? Is it any good? Thanks in advance.
  4. I’ve not been on here for a week or so, so I haven’t updated this. I bought a techrc quadcopter (syma x5c1 copy I believe) on Saturday to have a play with, and it seems pretty decent. It’s got return to home, acrobatic mode, 3 sensitivity settings and it’s great indoors. Not too bad outside either if the winds fairly steady. I’ve been doing a lot of research towards getting my first proper drone. Seriously want to get into the racing/freestyle side of it as opposed to photography. Would like to have a go flying fpv aswell. With that mind, a lot of people reccomended the eachine wizard 220. I’ve watched a lot of videos on it and it looks awesome! Comes ready to fly for £150-£180 depending where you buy aswell so good value. Any other suggestions on a good drone that fits the criteria? i also bought a spares package for my techrc off eBay, 2 sets of spare blades, 4 spare batteries and a charger that can charge all 4 at once. Loving it so far. Not bad for £35!
  5. I’m not really into the photography side of it, I just want one for fun. The traxxas Aton looks good fun and it’s less than £400. I’m after one that I have to fly myself that can do stunts, tricks etc that takes time to master. I like the look of the dji’s but I’m put off a bit by how easy people say they are too fly. Edit: I would like a camera though, just so I can see were I’m going if I fly too far away!
  6. @froggy8 yeah. It should have been £70 though. Didn’t plan to buy it, just seen and thought for the money it was worth a go. Went on eBay and picked up 4 spare batteries and a charger that charges all 4 at once for about 15 quid. Hoping to get a better drone like a dji or similar in the future so this should be a good learning tool to get used to basic controls
  7. Picked up a techrc quadcopter today from the local gadget shop. £70 reduced to £35 so thought it was worth a go! had 2 goes with it so far and I’m pretty impressed for the price. Easy to control, has a return home function, so the drone finds its way back to the controller and 3 sensitivity settings. It’s really light so probably best indoors but definitely good fun for £35. Also comes with a 0.3mp camera that can shoot video or take pics. Has a 3.7v 550mah battery that seems too last about 5 minutes. Hopefully should serve me to learn basic controls before buying a more expensive model.
  8. Are these any good?looks like a lot of drone for the money.
  9. Thanks for the info @Gavster29 im really new too this. I’ve had a few of them £15-25 drones you get in gadget shops and found them great fun. Im basically looking for the next step up. Doesn’t need a camera, but needs to be suitable for a beginner to fly outside. I remember taking my little one outside and it getting blown all over the place, even though there was no obvious wind. I’m basically looking for the best ready to go drone for around 100 quid, just for fun and learning purposes thanks again
  10. Can anyone reccomend a half decent drone that i can fly outside, for around the £100 mark? Fancy a drone but don’t want too spend a big wad until I’m sure it’s for me. Not really fussed about having a camera, I just want something I can take outside in the garden and have some fun. Something that won’t blow away with a gust of wind, that’s fairly beginner friendly. If i get good with it and enjoy it, my next move will be to spend a bit more for a decent one. Will consider second hand if anyone knows of a good one, but would prefer a new, ready to run one if possible. Could stretch the budget a bit if needed. Thanks for any help.
  11. Some blue medium rc thread lock and some xt60 to xt90 adapters. Just waiting on my parallel balance board now. Not that I’m getting out much with it at the moment, there’s nowhere round me with enough light after I finish work

    GT85?

Thanks guys! so gt85 is ok providing you let it dry thoroughly, otherwise it’s a greasy sticky mess. But, it won’t damage anything. Is that the general consensus?
  13. My Arrma typhon! Only had 2 runs with it on 4s and already love it.
