Gratuitous bit of polishing again today. Done the battery holder and the starter cup on the nitro starter. Re polished the car exhaust again due to welding on the manifold then polished that as well. Then did what ever was excessible with what I was using ie head fins engine mount and the brass on the carb and the clutch bell.

This is the machine I have been using

What is that engine and exhaust from

had the lunch box out in the garden and got some wee jumps and front flips going lol

also had the triton out for a test after i replaced bushings on the idle gear with bearings and that was running sweet then i had the kronos out with dads shogun and i had some mental tumbles and it even front flipped once just by using the brake.

on one of the kronos tumbles the spoiler went flying off, the screws were still there so it was just the wee plastic discs that sit on top that snapped off, soon got it sorted with random metal ones 🙂

Stripped the Stampede to get to the bottom of the gearbox issues. My nan has more teeth than what remain on the gears!

The motor was seized solid, which seems to have been caused by a dodgy bearing. Would that have caused the gearbox to eat itself, or would it be the other way around?

if the motor kept stopping   the wheels would still try and turn the gears.   so not going to help   bit like a drag brake

If you're running it wet, the bearings will either seize or disintegrate, thus resulting in knackered gears. Trust me, I know from bitter experience. That's why I'm only a fair weather basher.
