  1. Nice one. I did use a hair dryer thinking it would do just that but even on the hottest setting after a couple minutes it wouldn’t budge. I think it was that I used purple before on 1/8 scale and it didn’t really seem to do too much so I bought the blue. And then having not done anything with the red stuff after 18 months came back to it and just used the blue; but you’re right it’s definitely too good for 1/10 scale.
  2. Thank you. unfortunately I need to change the chassis having built most of it. Won’t be using blue loctite again, After threading a bolt halfway and leaving it for a minute I ended up stripping the bolt, drilling it out did not go so well… 😅
  3. So after a sabbatical from the hobby I’m picking it up again with Tamiya SR build. I have a fastrax (and yeah racing motor mount which does not fit to the motor) and I can see from the Tamiya manual you have to fit the motor to mount a certain way depending on the pinion gear. However, the Fastrax mount comes with no manual at all. Do I have to fit the bolts in a certain position aside from getting a nice fit in the gearing? Thanks for all help offered
  4. Probably One of my all time favourites, so powerful. For you.
  5. Found this song recently and on a decent hifi system sounds just awesome…
  6. Completely ripped off a portion of the tyre. Thankfully replaced under warranty!
  7. so when you said ripping and showed the picture of your tyre ripped did you mean coming unglued? because I wrote, “ yeah same”
  8. it looked like it literally exploded off the rim, probably about 1/5 of the tyre. The rest of the tyre is glued. so if they’re preglued you’re recommending removing the seal and regluing them with pound shop super glue?
  9. @Bajadre Yeah it wasn’t that.
  10. So we’ve had the Granite 3s BLX since last Christmas and it’s been out a reasonable number of times but not loads. When I’ve taken it out or when I’ve used it I’ve always run for some time at 100% throttle and always on grass. A couple weeks ago a tyre burst, I had not experienced it before so assumed it must have hit something although there was nothing obvious. So I ordered some replacements, on wheels, and within 15-20 minutes the new tyre blew but this time I saw it happen right in front of me, again, on grass. I’m not satisfied obviously that this should happen and am going to seek a warranty replacement but any thoughts on this except to consider replacement with Pro-line which I have read may be better? Thanks.

    Tamiya DF-02

    Condition not important.
  12. First paint job, on daughters Arrma Granite Forgot to get body clips so will get those ordered and possibly roof rails. Its not hot pink but fluorescent pink, I was advised to back it with white but next time would probably back it with hot pink so it’s less translucent. I actually love it LOL
  13. After having the 3s and loving it I just wanted more. I think without question there will be an EXB of some sorts this year for the Typhon, but by that time mine might be at that spec. I like the looks and the fact that is just goes when you pull the trigger. I think its it's so versatile the Typhon which is also what I really like about it.
  14. The 6s can take 4s too. Metal chassis, shocks and some other bits.
  15. Foamex or another brand of that material I think would be good as the ramp, quite cheap and strong, just need to decide on what to use as a structure.
  16. For what it's worth, I received a brand new Zeee 2s 8000mah for a brushed Granite. I ran it yesterday and it kept cutting out in the long grass. On the road it was fine. Re-tested the scenario several times, same result. Put in the original battery and worked perfectly and consistently - Sending this back today. Not everyone will have these issues sure, but that's first and probably last time of using "unbranded" lipos.
  17. Because I think the Typhon will take a really good all round bashing, I really like the buggy look, I think I will care for a competition buggy more (ie. I probably won't bash it) and probably use it on-road, and take it to tracks.
  18. I have come to decide that I do need a Kraton EXB in my life, as well as. Typhon 6s, and a competition 1/8 buggy. And today, given it is that particularly special day, I forced myself myself to make a decision, it will be here by the end of the week.
