  2. Just had my mid-life crisis and bought myself the FTX Vantage Brushless buggy!!!! That car is fast!!! Lots of fun! I was hoping to use it with the kids (7 & 9yo) but it might a touch too fast for them.... My dear daughter managed to snap the front suspension lower arm..... and I managed to do the other one..... lol Which brings me to the replacement parts. I don't really want to change them all the time. I know they will break, they can be fixed..... but I'd like to minimise that if I can. Beside better driving, would replacing most part with aluminium be advisable? The only concern being parts lifetime. Weight and speed not really an issue as it won't be used in races - just a home toy. And if aluminium parts are a good choice..... is there an aftermarket full kit that can be bought for them? The individual parts are pretty pricey when you add them up... if there was a kit comprising most part at once, from FTX or other, that would fit the Vantage, I'd be very interested I think. Thank you for your time and hopefully advices!!!
  3. Anyone that would like to share some tips and knowledge about these two vehicles and if anyone has any spare extra parts you’d like to get rid of also looking for a accessories
  4. Mugen MBX7r eco almost ready to run. Includes SC8 rtr waterproof esc (same as Hobbywing), 1900kv Turnigy motor, and Savox digital servo. I have rebuilt the car with new gaskets and o-rings in the diffs and shocks. The pice for the above is £250 with collection from PO15 7NE, or I can post for extra £10. I can add a Flysky GT2E radio for extra £20 if you wish an RTR car. UPDATE: the batteries are no longuer included in the deal due to postage restrictions. The price has been reduced accordingly.
  5. Looking into the absima stoke 6s. Information about the vehicle is hard to come by as I dont speak German and all the videos are in that language. Does anyone have any first hand experience with it? Can it really handle 6s power? Is it worth getting the 6s version over the 4s version? Is it worth getting at all or just go with an arrma 3s? Thanks
  6. Full set used plenty of life left suit bashing or track use mounted on yellow 17mm hex wheels in fairly decent condition considering £20 posted payments via PayPal goods and will include a fee on too many thanks
  7. Newbie here. I just opened the differentials of my Kyosho DBX VE 2.0, and there was no oil, just grease. There is also no mention of filling the diffs with oil in the maintenance manual, only applying grease. However, everybody seems to be saying that you fill them with oil. As I'm not planning to race, is it ok if I just apply some heavy duty grease to the differentials, rather than fill it with oil? The diffs have o rings and do seem to be sealed.
  8. In good condition. Sold as roller with wheels and the 3 shells pictured. £110 posted.
  9. Hi guys my much loved Helion Criterion 1/10 2WD buggy managed to self destruct it’s motor yesterday and I’m looking for inspiration on what to do next. I’ve had the buggy for ages but recently my brother has bought a Tamiya Neo-scorcher and I’ve got a lot more into modding that with him and I’m looking to move on from my stock criterion (aside from a 4400 7 cell and a metal gear set ) I’m currently on a limited budget of about £150 and my question to you is what do I do? Do I get a replacement motor and some upgrades for my criterion (and if so which ones?) or do I start a new long term project with another buggy, any help would be greatly appreciated!
  10. Absima AB3.4 1/10 4WD buggy for sale. £60. No receiver, transmitter or battery are included in the sale. These will be required to run. 3100kv brushless GoolRC motor, 60A GoolRC ESC and 25kg GoolRC servo are installed, as shown. Range of spares as shown and mentioned below. Buggy was purchased in late March as a self build kit. The buggy has an aluminium rear HSP shock tower, HSP wing mount, and aluminium A-arms. Original rear shock tower and wing mount were a weak point along with rear A-arms. Hence the upgrades. Can be put back to stock form with included spares. However, I modified the body to fit the new wing mount. The buggy includes the Absima front chassis plate, which is an option part. This fixes the other reported weakness at the front. The front of the chassis forward of the front A-arms broke off. It is held in place by the plate and much better than stock form but is worth noting here. Small crack in body but otherwise in great condition. Modified as mentioned above. Spares include dog bones, centre drive shaft, rear differential and motor mount, original wheels and tyres in great shape, replacement spur gears and a range of pinion gears. (Installed pinion is a 17T - smaller than stock 23T pinion so that I could run some bigger wheels). I am based in St Albans, Hertfordshire. Cash on collection in person ideal but can post and accept PayPal payment. Details can be worked out. Please ask any questions. Cheers.

  12. I've been looking to buy an electric hyper cage or one of the other brands of the same car.. It's proving difficult to find one already used. Being pretty poor I can't afford the kit and then buy tx rx and lipos etc. £200 ideal budget but could go higher for the right deal
  13. Hi I'm a front line worker and the Coronavirus has focused mine and probably everyone's mind. I'm determined to get back to enjoying my life fully again. Use to love racing my little buggy and general RC. So...... Have fished my Mini 8ight out of storage, placed new batteries in the car and transmitter, pulled the trigger and a cloud of dust was produced as it scream into the distance. Fantastic I thought a few flicks and have a huge grin on my face. Now where I need help... After a short time it threw the front driveshafts. Hadn't upgraded those to CVD's like did with my other cars. Took apart and pushed back into place, but now every couple of turns I keep losing one of the front drive shafts. Any suggestions on how I can get this problem fixed? The simple one is buying CVD's which I jumped on straight away. But everywhere I look they are sold out!!! I'm UK based BTW. Cannot get anything other than importing from the US or hope they make it from China. Even these seem to be thin on the ground. Anyway, if I can get a "quick" fix solution, sure would be a might grateful. Thanks everyone - Stay Safe
