Hi all, I just noticed the new FTX Carnage 2.0 Brushless is out now. Does anyone know if they've made any improvements to it? I noticed the ESC is an update version but the motor looks the same. The transmitter is new but have there been any other improvements? Is the Spur gear now sealed or is that still prone to debris? https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/ftx-carnage-20-brushless-rtr-monster-truck-1355104 Thanks,

I got a tamiya lunchbox kit a while ago and i love it however i would like to make it faster and nipier, to my understanding a brushless motor would acheive this. If so my lucnhbox seems to have been shipped with a brushless ESC and i was wondering what sort of motor i need, i know it needs to be a 540 to fit but with the power aspect, would i also need a new battery as i just have the tornado 2000 battery pack wich i dont beleive is a lipo and yet again i beleive a lipo should give me more power if so is there any suggestions for reasonable batteries or motors any help would be greatly appreciated

You will need to manage the wires but you can put the switch anywhere you want (how long the switch wires let you). The transmitter will need a battery plate. The esc and motor combo is a robitronic razer ten the servo is a 25kg gx servo with metal gears and the motor has a fan with a heatsink and it has a wheele bar, the spur gear is metal and the the pinion is stock this truggy can handle 3s I am asking for £120 cash on collection or £130 posted. Hong Nor X3e Brushless 1/8. Factory model, supplied ARTR. Runs 4s, 2100kv (iirc) leopard motor, hobbywing 120a esc. 16mm big bore shocks (some of the best in the industry), front CVA's, fully adustable turnbuckles etc, brand new wheels and tyres (Louise-C), shell solid but not perfect (see detailed pic). Upgraded rear hinge pin brace to address the usual issues on RTR spec rigs. Has very little wear to running gear, plastics or chassis as can be seen - it is used though so not perfect - negatives I can see is some gravel rash to shock towers/caps, shock boots have gone the way they all do - study the pics and it's filthy. Runs and drives as it should, I've put a pack through it recently and as always it didn't disappoint. Err, I have a few of these and need some shelf space for other rigs. If your used to conversions or heavyweight bruisers this will surprise you - they are extremely nimble and handle like they're on rails - a real joy to drive and usual Hong Nor excellent build quality. Latest version is still sold, parts are easily available - there's also a Pro with some tasty parts you can dip into for upgrades if so wished. I also have a few spare new Pro parts that I could do a deal with new owner if wished (see last pic, these are NOT included by default for sale price). Collect DE5, meet up or post at cost. Not really interested in trades but feel to PM WHY. Offers welcome if you think I'm out. £200 ARTR ono £150 roller on

Just had my mid-life crisis and bought myself the FTX Vantage Brushless buggy!!!! That car is fast!!! Lots of fun! I was hoping to use it with the kids (7 & 9yo) but it might a touch too fast for them.... My dear daughter managed to snap the front suspension lower arm..... and I managed to do the other one..... lol Which brings me to the replacement parts. I don't really want to change them all the time. I know they will break, they can be fixed..... but I'd like to minimise that if I can. Beside better driving, would replacing most part with aluminium be advisable? The only concern being parts lifetime. Weight and speed not really an issue as it won't be used in races - just a home toy. And if aluminium parts are a good choice..... is there an aftermarket full kit that can be bought for them? The individual parts are pretty pricey when you add them up... if there was a kit comprising most part at once, from FTX or other, that would fit the Vantage, I'd be very interested I think. Thank you for your time and hopefully advices!!!

I will supply the truggy complete as pictured with it's 2.4GHz 3 channel remote control which is an Ikonnik ET3. All you will need to run the truggy is batteries for the electrics : 4S or 6S lipo and (x4) AA batteries for the remote control. Any questions or offers please feel free to ask. Genuine reason for sale as need to add some cash to a wedding fund to cover venue costs so this is what I decided to part with. Hey, I've been thinking about a brushless motor and esc for my truggy (VRX Sword). So i have measured the heights 'n stuff, and came to two decisions: Yuki Samurai 4350KV (rpm/volt) and a 60A countinous esc, or a Robotronic Razer Ten 4000KV (rpm/volt) also with 60A countinous. Each is 3652, my car has a 11.2:1 gearing ratio, mostly AWD, but maybe sometimes i'll transform it in to RWD, and i'll be using it mostly with a 40c 4.2Ah 2S Lithium Polymer battery. What do you think, wich one do i choose?

Hi, I bought this on the premise that the diffs were all borked, they were totally fine and the grub screws were loose on the pinion gear and center shaft. I do have a couple of new diffs which I had purchased before inspecting myself so will include them for longevity purposes. This has had a steel pinion gear added to it. Price £110 delivered with diffs, or £90 without diffs. Knock off £10 for collection from West London. Just to confirm, this runs flawlessly and I can provide videos of such. No lipo or lipo charger included. Stock remote included with 8 new duracell batteries! Swaps: - I'd take a Losi 8ight 2.0 nitro to electric conversion kit (or straight up send me one of these https://www.makeitbuildit.co.uk/losi-8ight-electric-conversion-kit-hardware-package-losia0912-35390 + £10 for postage and we have a deal) you buying me the Losi conversion kit means you can choose how to do payment yourself, e.g. paypay, Klarna, magic beans, etc)

Hi, My Etronix 2950kv brushless motor doesn't work properly when running forwards. It turns but when you let go of accelerate it immediately stops with a forceful motion, rather than spin freely and come to a stop. Reverse works fine. But when I test forwards it's not responding correctly the speed goes from zero to full speed and when you stop the force of the stop then sends the car rolling backwards. Any idea what's going on? I recently changed the ESC as that fried. Also had to change the spur gear as it got damaged due to trapped grit. I've recalibrated the ESC but somethings up as the motor doesnt respond properly to forward input. I'm new to RC and dont have any further ideas as to what's up. I hope the motors not broken in some way any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Marty

I’ve dreamed of a brushless 5ive-B for many years...... TLR 5ive-B kit ZTW Beast Pro 300a 6-12s esc ZTW Beat Pro 70120 6-14s 620kv Motor Top Tuning Brushless conversion kit (direct copy of the MGM kit?) I won’t be starting the build for a few days, as I’m going to be selling a few of the stock kit parts and replacing them parts I prefer.... I’ll be getting a different shell, one without the petrol holes, also I fancy the option carbon push/pull radio tray kit..... Also had 3 K-Power DM4000 54kg servos turn up today from the guys at RC Models, I’ll be running dual steering servos with mechanical brakes to take some strain off the motor and esc

Absima AB3.4 1/10 4WD buggy for sale. £60. No receiver, transmitter or battery are included in the sale. These will be required to run. 3100kv brushless GoolRC motor, 60A GoolRC ESC and 25kg GoolRC servo are installed, as shown. Range of spares as shown and mentioned below. Buggy was purchased in late March as a self build kit. The buggy has an aluminium rear HSP shock tower, HSP wing mount, and aluminium A-arms. Original rear shock tower and wing mount were a weak point along with rear A-arms. Hence the upgrades. Can be put back to stock form with included spares. However, I modified the body to fit the new wing mount. The buggy includes the Absima front chassis plate, which is an option part. This fixes the other reported weakness at the front. The front of the chassis forward of the front A-arms broke off. It is held in place by the plate and much better than stock form but is worth noting here. Small crack in body but otherwise in great condition. Modified as mentioned above. Spares include dog bones, centre drive shaft, rear differential and motor mount, original wheels and tyres in great shape, replacement spur gears and a range of pinion gears. (Installed pinion is a 17T - smaller than stock 23T pinion so that I could run some bigger wheels). I am based in St Albans, Hertfordshire. Cash on collection in person ideal but can post and accept PayPal payment. Details can be worked out. Please ask any questions. Cheers.
