I'd like to make the parts from filled nylon but somebody broke the injection moulding machine. 🤨 I'm not holding out too much hope that the parts will last the distance but it's worth a punt.

The two on the left are FDM PLA (no infill) , the next two are SLA Tough resin and the original on the right: Holding an SLA print over the original looks about right: The SLA has a bit more flex than the original and the FDM feels about right. I'm expecting the SLA to be quite brittle too. I'm taking my son to the park next week to rag the Rhinos about so we'll see how they do. Good effort! From what I've looked at, Tough PLA seems like the best option for useable/easy to print RC parts, with the bonus of not needing the fume extraction like Nylon and ABS. I think that's gonna be my plan when I get my 3D printing up and running again.
Popular Post Fat Freddy
I think this was meant to be a dustpan for a dolls house? With the help of some plastic rod I turned it into a shovel to put on the back of my Enduro. Not sure why. Needs more painting.

The main reason I used the materials I did was because they were already set up on the printers. 😁

Some on my sporty have been abused for well over 6 months and still going strong with hardly a mark.

Needs a couple of little tweaks but other than that it’s looking a nice handling rally chassis.

Popular Post Mr Fro
Today's effort built from boxes of bits. FG Modellsport Beetle off roader: I just need to find an HS-805BB (or similar) servo, some throttle / brake linkages and some wheels and we'll be cooking with gas! For anyone in the know... is that fuel tank on the right way round?

Popular Post BigGinge
I’ve started stripping down the TB-05 and am starting to think it has either had a harder life than I thought or wasn’t put together with too much care. The fact the battery wires from the ESC were “joined” with a single twist and some duct tape does make me think the latter is more likely. Fingers crossed I’m not missing too many of the little bits for a clean rebuild. 1 4 2
