MiddlofMoRon
Started the dismantling process 🤓! I'd like to make the chassis stronger here. Without rattling the gear too pieces 😆. An aluminum strap underneath maybe 🤔? I don't want to put too much more money than I need to.

Popular Post Ag100
Painted a new shell for my LC Racing EMB-1, it’s a PhatBodies Funkenblitz body and the decals are from MCI in Canada, used Tamiya Clear Pearl first then Tamiya Pearl White then Tamiya plain White, I’m still waiting for the Turbo fan discs for the wheels, and may fit some lights, happy with how it looks. It’s based on https://evaresto.co.uk/ Apple Computers inc Beetle and obviously the Apple Porsche 935 K3. tomr
I spent 35mins driving to a location then a 30 min walk to the trail I like to use, less than a min later I’d rolled it into the river and knackered the “waterproof “ esc 😂 2

Its a nice body, i bought one for my WLtoys 124108, and had to get shock towers but nothing fits, so a wasted project, will just bin the body as no point selling it

MrCake
Drove to one of my usual spots with the DR8 to........ oh poop! Was a really good dusty/grassy area which was hardly used but strangely the grass was always cut nice and short. Saw signs about this a while back and was hoping I would at least get this summer before the area turns yet more grassy areas to concrete and steel 😏

Popular Post Kpowell911
Nice hour at the local jumps. I took my Mini Maxx and my Mrs took her Sledge. Both took some punishment and no breakages 🙂
Popular Post Kyo
Had a few races down the field today - out of 6 cars only one survived the day uninjured 🤣 Everything from lost wheel nuts, broken hinge pin holder's, stripped pinions, broken bumpers. Absolute chaos but A lot of fun had by all!!!
Popular Post Bert_w164
Worked on the TLR Losi 8ight XE Starting point, yay new metric drivers, should be a quick and easy job right......WRONG. I started taking off all the plastic inserts in the A-Arms, to replace with these TLR carbon beauties. I'm surprised how soft and flexible the plastic insert is, to the point where its clearly not adding any strenght but I guess the way they've "closed" the arms means better aerodynamics and keeps dirt out! As I started to screw them in, my 1.5MM metric driver died from its death. At this point, I was really annoyed, brand new tools can't even drive screws into plastic - whiskey tango foxtrot. I scrambled around for other tools. I then thought to myself, this set has no reviews, it's oddly a bit cheap for 18 drivers, could that be down to potato QC? Bingo, the metric drivers are in fact imperial, and the imperial drivers are in fact metric - thanks china QC. I started an amazon return and continued to work on the car. My phone blended in very well with the 8XE's carbon 😄 Mhmm, shiny and already has cat fur on it: Added 8XE TLR mudguards Well, what's this thing running on? Hopes and dreams? It needs a power plant! Oh hello Viper VF8 1900kv motor Next it was time for an ESC, I decided to go with the Castle Mamba Max Pro SCT I bought used a few weeks ago and never tested...Yes its the 1/10 version, but apparently good for 6S and 1/8 buggies if you stick to 4S and stay under a certain KV, can't remember the exact number, but 1900kv @4s is fine. Next, steering, I like my old Hitecs, so 5985 it is: My daughter is really taking an interest in this, so I've passed ownership of the 8XE to my wife to try and peak daughter's interest. And now ready to run, albeit with super dirty wheels. I should have taken a pic with a clean set...
