  1. Yes, I imagine I did come across to relaxed. It won't happen again, I assure you!
  2. That's pretty funny. No, I'm not a robot. I can see I'm not up to date enough for today's forums. I shall not bother you further!
  3. I just like the model a lot and thought I'd see if anyone had any experience with it. Way to pricey for me. Sorry if I posted in the wrong area!
  4. How I'd love to run it and take it apart πŸ˜‚! Really nice looking machine but I don't see access to part's anywhere πŸ€”. That would be a problem for me πŸ€“. I'm most assuredly will break something! The price tag is a tad heavy but I'm sure I have spent more for less 😎. I hope they come out with good after market access. Maybe I'll live long enough to run one 🀣. I must say, it's an impressive model!
  5. I only use Facebook to keep track of family members. There's a couple of good tracks around Kansas City, Missouri. Drop bye and see us anytime πŸ€“! I'll see you get fed and entertained properly πŸ‘. Do some deep country bashing Missouri style πŸ€“! Have a great time where ever you go!
  6. Reminds me of the "Frog" . The first buggy I built with my son πŸ€“. Those were great times!
  7. I like the looks of this model. I'll bet if I tried to build one it would be a drift monster πŸ˜‚. Something like this makes me think of land speed record πŸ€“.
  8. Kind of a neat little thing but I'd rather put money into something bigger πŸ€“!
  9. Evening folks! Well I've thoroughly researched the Slash project. Now I'm ready to start buying parts. This could take awhile πŸ˜‚! We'll see how long it takes me. I'm sure everyone has a different way of building and my way is probably the long way around πŸ€“. So the adventure begins πŸ€“! My list starts with a stainless screw set. I can't remember what comes second πŸ˜†. Anyway I'm having fun. Have a great evening guys 😎.
  10. Finally made my way around to this post πŸ€“. Really helpful since I'm building this Slash2wd. Thanks for sharing your findings mate!
  11. Evening folks! Funny how things work out πŸ€“. Stayed up for almost a day dismantling the Slash . It was quite interesting. Everything was wornout πŸ˜†. This is not a surprise. So I've put the UDR project on hold cause I have to fix it. I'll document the build and build it for 4S, maybe 6S. Any positive input is welcome πŸ€“!
  12. Looking at high torque servos for the Slash. Putting a lot of power in it. They very in price so radically I got brain freeze trying to figure it out. Appreciate any input πŸ€“!

Thanks mate! I don't mind expensive if it's worth it. I've been researching Savox and I appreciate your input πŸ€“πŸ‘!

no worries brother i like the savoxs as there strong and the stats are usually spoton cos theres a fair few brands that the servo stats are not even near lol for a lesser price some of the power HDs get great reviews on here and ive used some of the alturn racing high torques ones never let me down, the slash is fairly light so you can go either way MiddloπŸ‘

  13. I would have to lay out samples and see how it reacts to each solvent. Might be an involved process but you will see how it reacts before you try it on the model.
  14. Going with the LCG. The trans was toast to so now it's a full performance rebuild. The UDR will have to be patient πŸ€“!
  15. Opened up the trans case and found what I expected. Teeth in the bottom and some case damage. It doesn't break my heart, just pushes the UDR project out. I'm resigned to the fact that I can't keep from building it better. So this is what I've decided to install πŸ€“πŸ€“...I really like the accessable inspection port! Pro-Line performance transmission
  16. I have that truck as well. I just tore it down for rebuild and upgrade. Haven't had that problem yet. Just guessing but I'd wonder about the receiver. Sounds like it's having problems communicating between the transmitter and receiver πŸ€”. I'd be interested to know if you fixed it and how. Good luck!
  17. If you're doing a lot of track time you will develop what works best for you. I'm left handed so I'm great on the throttle and shyst on steering πŸ€“! Do what feels right!
  18. Having the best time I've had in over three years πŸ€“! Found my Slash, my tools and remembered how much I love RC and building things! Thanks mate's for making this such a great forum πŸ€“!
  19. Nice looking motor! Of course I have a soft spot for older stuff πŸ€“.
  20. Started the dismantling process πŸ€“! I'd like to make the chassis stronger here. Without rattling the gear too pieces πŸ˜†. An aluminum strap underneath maybe πŸ€”? I don't want to put too much more money than I need to.
  21. Awesome photography! Looks like a great time πŸ€“! Do you plan to upgrade or leave it breakable? I used to chase the weak link until everything on the model was virtually unbreakable πŸ˜‚. Then I'd give it away and start on the next one πŸ€“. Started in about 1968. See yah laterπŸ€“
  22. Howdy folks! Having a good day I hope πŸ€“! Good news on the Slash. Traxxas makes a nice little kit for the LCG chassis. That I won't have to sell my soul for πŸ˜‚! So now I'm researching how to make the chassis stronger at this point without rattling the gear too pieces πŸ˜†.
  23. Howdy folks! Good news! All I need is a chassis and a couple of other parts. That means I can put he LCG chassis in it 😁. Traxxas makes a nice kit that's almost affordable πŸ˜‚.
  24. Yup, that makes the most sense! It depends on how much I have to replace. I'd love to build it again but my main goal is the UDR. This really goes against my nature but I have to build the UDR project before my brain gets fried perminantly. Unfortunately that can happen at any moment but I'm not going to live in fear. I'll just be careful, which I'm not used to πŸ€“.
