Adjusted the links so they sit right now, the wheelbase is also spot on now, trimmed the arches very slightly, I prefer this look and as a happy accident it's sorted the tyre rubbing issue. Shocks have been limited a bit to limit the 'flex' and make it a tad more scale rather than looking like an MOA with a bodyshell which IMO looks daft. Decided this wheel and tyre combo is staying, hopefully they perform well enough. Stinger also added for the full redneck treatment, seeing as it's a '91 Comanche. I also decided against magnets for holding the body on so I went with some Proline thumbscrews, IMO still neater than bodyclips, less fiddly and no chance of losing them really since they don't ping off, I needed something a bit more secure than magnets since the kids will be using this truck at times. Popular Post Oh How Original Posted November 18, 2020 Popular Post Share Posted November 18, 2020 Body magnets are on Means Business and started work on the rear mount for the body, since a couple of people asked about how I mounted the body last time I thought I would show, it's very simple, no real skill involved, just a bit of time and measuring/cutting. A quick template made up Note that this particular chassis has a curved chassis, so everything must be done with the side pieces in place. Cut little by little, this bit can be annoying, they obviously need to be at the same height, but it's very difficult to measure, so each side just needs doing a few mm at a time until you feel it's right, then it sits nice and level like mine is. I haven't made it as low as I typically would because I intend to run some sliders, so once they are made/sourced, I might lower it a tad more to meet them. And it now sits perfectly straight and level on the rear, both sides and front. Note, the film on the shell wasn't done by accident, Pro-line needed to see the score marks under the film for proof it wasn't just on the film. And then I can get it back together. And see what happens Lots of carbon fitted to it. Odd shocks. Need to sort them out. As they are a bit sticky. But it a bad little car. Last time I used it I melted the diffs with a 3s set up. It was insanely fast. Did a few runs with it. And then it did a lot of flips down the road. Picked it up and it was all locked up solid.
