  1. Just a reminder for people like me who own lipo’s but rarely use their RCs lately. Just check your lipo’s. Condition and voltages. I have 20 or so Lipo’s, stored in BatSafes. Just checked the voltages and all seems ok, but two appeared to drop out of balance. Nothing major but one cell was 0.2v out. Just trying to rectify with a charge/discharge to balance out. Hopefully be ok as theyre quite expensive 4S Lipo’s

  2. As what @Alex97 and @steephill have already said basically, there is the Injora ir40 body available now too which looks great for under £30. also if you have any bits from your build left over, id be happy to buy it off you mate for a quick lift and tyre fix, i would stick on a set of 59mm Injora alloy shocks, then you can get 62mm tyres (swamp claws i think) without too much fouling, offset wheels will help beef it up too along with wheel widening hexes but as already mentioned, you start to lose the “scale” appearance. looking forward to seeing your progress

  3. There's two routes you can go with this- -Stock style body for more of a scale rig, looks great however you'll be limited to the wheels size and amount of suspension travel you can have due to binding on the body. - Injora tarantula style cage where you aren't that limited to what you can run however you don't get the scale look. Personally I went for the cage style as that's what I prefer.

  4. @TommyC There's a few body options. You can change from bronco to defender or vice versa, you swap over bumpers Injora do a wrangler copy body and this one... https://www.injora.com/products/injora-ir40-half-truck-body-with-cage-for-1-18-trx4m-defender-bronco Which allows you to fit the large 70mm tyres. The tarantula chassis that @Alex97mentioned is a really good choice. I have one and rate it highly.

I also have a 360fusion...but for that i need a foward programming remote...and waiting € for that! 😛 Another coast video... 🙂

  10. Was going to go out with the RCs but weathers terrible so I compared my Porsches. That sounded good to say! I think Porsches make the best 1:1 cars, and the Tamiya/Porsche connection also seems special Yea, I need more Tamiya Porsches!

  13. You mean as in the actual distributor? I dont think that woud work if a shop was also the distibutor. It'd give a bias of what products they push surely?

  14. Little update of the latest project, Built from the ground up using Traxxas chassis rails, shock towers, gearbox skid, battery tray, axle casings. Upgrades are complete gearbox/gears, driveshafts, links (not the ones pictured), steel diff gears, hubs and knuckles, bearings bumpers, wheels/tyres, shocks and probably more lol. this is the last one im going to build for now (unless a 8x8 gets released then im all over it!!)

  15. That's why I've never bothered with redcat. Uk spares seem very limited. Plenty of other brands with spares available in the UK.

  16. Especially with their new brushless 1;10 RTR that just came out. That looks so good for the money (well the US price)

  19. 40amp should be plenty for a crawler, i would be surprised if that motor pulled more than 20 amps

  22. Took out one of my hard body builds. Scx10 ii axles, injora chassis with two speed forward gearbox. 35 turn 540 can with a 1080 on 2s. Injora jeep wrangler 313mm wheelbase body. Really good fun to drive. First body I have ever used magnets.

  23. Well yesterday rather than today 😊 Started on the Baja Flux build, started on the rear end first and will move to the front once the rear is complete, obviously. Few places just mocked up for now with what came in the kit but will be changing them to either carbon fibre or alloy. Changing majority of fixings to stainless steel as I go.

  25. New compressor for my workshop, old 1 died on sunday, this 1 is a direct drive so doesnt have the noisy piston so just the hum of a motor, much quieter!
