  1. @MrCake sometimes it's luck of the draw, a bad / awkward landing and something breaks. Depends on how how well the diff was setup. Get it stripped and see what the damage is. Mint wheelie in the picture
  2. Yeah mate, was a bit of a ouch day. Hopefully the electronics are OK. I have my doubts. It was in the pond for a good minute or so fully powered on Fingers crossed everybody 🫰.
  3. Kinda broke two quads. I've been using horizon and acro mode, immense fun. One of the latest things I've been practising is rolls, flips and dives. So the tinyhawk ended up in the pond. Heard my missus shout my name with concern and heard the plop so it knew it was in the pond. That's now drying for a few days🫰. Hopefully the video will be amusing. And the tinyhawk freestyle has broken the nylon bolts holding the flight controller, so I'm waiting on parts for that. That's bounced off lots of stuff, so it's no wonder.
  4. I've got one on order from modelsport. I've got a few hobbywing motors to try, xerun 3656 and ezrun 3660. I'll have to see how much room there is for motor options when it arrives. Both motors are good for 40-50 mph on 3s. With the right gearing on my slash 4x4. The 4s capable motors I have are 40mm diameter or larger. So I don't know if they'll fit or be necessary. I'm fairly sure it will be quick enough with a ezrun 3660 on 3s. It is a 10 scale truggy. Plenty of low down torque and the g2 and onwards are nice and smooth low end.
  5. Lost it yesterday ☹️ TinyHawk down... It was my fault 🤦
  6. Well after posting a picture of my tinyhawk freestyle yesterday, this happened....

Completely my fault. I changed the connector to a xt30 to run a single 2s lipo instead of two 1s lipos.

I should of made the pigtail shorter.

I looped the battery strap around the battery wires and connector and the battery must have come lose.

I looked for it before it went dark but couldn't find it.

I was gutted, only done about 6 batteries.

I watched the crash over and over trying to work out where it landed.

I noticed it landed / bounced off a pitched slate roof which narrowed it down, all the other roofs are asbestos.

Got up early, and found the quad, a bit wet, visually looks like very little damage. All the props look good.

This is were I've been really lucky, the battery wasn't attached but was only two feet away.

The electronics could be dead as they spent a night outside in the damp weather.

But, hopefully after a few days drying out there's a chance it may be OK 🫰

Gave the tinyhawk freestyle a test today.

Bloody well chuffed, everything works and no nasty crash marks, even the props are good.

Well worth waiting a few days for it to dry properly.

It's not going out until the additional battery strap arrives.

Thats great the wee drones ok :good:

  7. First flight outside with my tinyhawk 3 freestyle. Changed the battery connector to a xt30 to run a single 2s lipo. Loads more power than the tinyhawk I've been learning with.
  8. @Gaz! Thought you'd like the injora brushless systems. Coming down the steep technical sections are a real pleasure to drive.
  9. Managed to get the tinyhawk through a gap. I have muted the sound, apologies if I deafened you before.
  10. A 2s charger... So I can balance charge the smaller 2s batteries. I have a overlander charger and it gets upset with small 2s batteries. So I can now storage charge 👍
  11. @Gaz! I had a few 200/300 discovery's. That was after a severe drowning. I remember taking it to the jet wash. Opening all the doors, get inside and jet wash all the mud out.
  12. I'm well impressed 👍 Looks amazing and extremely capable. Nothing wrong with Axial shafts. You can get them to pretty much any length for most builds and they're quite durable. Build issues can get frustrating. It's going together nicely 👍.
  13. @Davy Crockett I way prefer that to the camel trophy yellow 👍 Looks really good mate 👍
  14. @Stormbringer 😂That's just me being a bit braver or daft.
  15. Nice one @Stormbringer 👍 I thought that was a different video 😂 Here's the one I meant to upload, without me crashing...
  16. First flight outside FPV with the tinyhawk 3. Really good fun, I'm still flying in angle mode at the moment.
  17. I had this problem on my ravine. You can limit the steering with the end point settings like @Stormbringer said. It's one of the rotary switches on the controller. You can change the tyres to injora pin or xhx tyres. They are way better than the stock ravine tyres and quite narrow.
  18. I've got a good few rhino brushless systems. I really like them. Easy to setup, loads of torque and power, the low end is ridiculous. The 40 amp is smaller in size, weight and price but has a 3 amp bec. The 80 amp esc has a 10 amp bec. I run the 80a without a ubec and it's good. If you have a heavier rig (hardbody, trx4, etc) go for the larger s20 motor. I mainly use the s12 motors in my lcg rigs. If you're unsure about kv try 1800kv or lower first. You'll need a pc to change the settings on the esc.
  19. @Andy-Roo 😂 I'm sure the squirrels think I built it for them. They use most of the crawler course every day. Just makes it that bit more worthwhile doing it. I'm hoping the owls sit on the big bridge. Plan next is to add some stone sections on and off the wood / north shore bits. I remember the carling black label ads with the squirrel on the assault course. I'll try and get it done. I thought it would be funny to have one of the bigger crawlers going over the bridge to the indiana Jones music.
  20. Wow! Looking amazing already 👌👍. Those Treal axle housings are gorgeous. No, the whole build is gorgeous. Top build mate👍
  21. Two squirrels chasing across the big bridge on the crawler course.
  22. Got slapped with a 75 quid bill from customs🤬

I probably shouldn't moan. I've had loads from aliexpress without any charges.

      Thanks for the information 👍

It's now looking like Yodel have lost the batteries 🤦

They had to be shipped separately.

Royal mail delivered Wednesday and that was after it sat  in customs for about three days and then in the local delivery office for two days.

The tracking says "we've got it" and hasn't updated for a week. I usually get the delivery by then.

Same thing with me at the moment mate, Yodel tracking says "we've collected your item"... that was a week ago....nothing since !! 🙄

@Yorkshireman They usually swear blind they haven't lost it right until they tell you it's gone missing.

  23. Managed to do a few laps of the front room and around the kitchen with the tinyhawk and the goggles on.
