Popular Post Stormbringer Posted December 31, 2022 Popular Post Share Posted December 31, 2022 (edited) I bought a Blade 450x of a fellow form member and decided to put it in an Airwolf fuselage I found 1 on Ebay so duly purchased it This is whats in the fuse kit apart from the servo and unfortunately the instructions 1st off tho i changed the heli stock servo.s to Savox metal geared servo,s as the stock 1,s arnt the best So firstly i got the retract set up and working by hand to start with just to make sure all working in unison Installed the servo and got everything connected The holes for the nav lights etc have also been drilled It comes with glazing for roof door and floor which is also installed at moment Will continue this when more completed as i still need to test fly the 450x after changing servo,s but weathers been crap Edited December 31, 2022 by Stormbringer 7 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Stormbringer Posted January 10, 2023 Author Share Posted January 10, 2023 Well guys I had a bit of a disaster on Saturday trying a test flight with the 450x When spooling up it was spinning uncontrollably on the ground as the tail gyro was reversed , got that sorted and tail was solid on ground but on verge of lift off it toppled to the right and smacked ground Found the swash plate gyro was also reversed so went through the fly barless system from start to finish and believe i now have it sorted The topple took out a set of carbon blades,ejected a swash link (found that other side garden) and broke a washout arm so parts ordered and now waiting on them luckily had spare blades so when fixed will try another test flight next dry calm day before fitting in fuselage Ohh well expensive mistake lol 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Stormbringer Posted February 24, 2023 Author Share Posted February 24, 2023 I found the cause of the severe vibes it was a slightly bent feathering shaft I took the blades of and put a hex wrench into the hex screw inside blade grip i then rotated the wrench whilst watching the blade grips and they started to orbit around the centre New feathering shaft installed and 3 batteries later no vibes Will try to get Yrkoon to shoot new flying vid soon Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
