Traxxas Unlimited Desert Racer

I think that Traxxas warning is aimed at the more power than sense crowd who just want to launch everything of the biggest ramp aka the stereotype. I must say, im tempted, but not at that price. 300 quid too much for injection moulded plastic.

Jake Billing has bust a trailing arm, so a mate of his has made him a pair of ally replacements, my concern there would be moving the weak-point to a more expensive component such as the chassis.

Definitely over-priced.

yeah im happy i spent 200 less on a erevo

Hmmm. Im not too sure thats the bastion of value for money mind =/

Pains me to say, in my opinion now the only Traxxas to have is the Xmaxx v2 or Slash 4x4. Theres simply something better for cheaper against all the other Traxxas models. Especially if Arrma sort themselves out

Senton is way better value than the slash too. There's nothing in the same area as the Xmaxx though.  The UDR is a nice looking truck that seems well engineered but the price is eye watering for what you actually get.

I’ve been eyeing the E Revo 2.0 since announcement but the Arrma Kraton looks just as capable it not more for £200 less. Really hoped Arrma do sort it out as I’ll be buying one straight away!

I sorta refrained from mentioning the Senton as Arrma are a bit up in arms. Now Horizon has their grubby mits on them I cant see anything but massive price rises for Arrma’s noww....

Well atm i would never go for a arrma, the build quality is way below par from what ive seen too. The MT410 is the only other thing id consider, will probly be more expensive than a 2.0 though. Revo's or traxxas will never be VFM but i really think pricing this at £800 plus is a big mistake

Not sure where youve saw that everything ive read suggests Arrma are superior in every way to the equivilant Traxxas. Im gutted theyre a bit all over the place now with Horizon/Hobbico.

The MT410 ‘could’ be done I guess. You can get them for £390, that leaves £250 for an esc/motor/servo/radio/wheels/tyres.

Quicrun 150a £60

Black Can £30

Servo £30

Radio: £20

Shell: £30

Prolines: £90

Thats cheating a bit as the electrics would be from abroad. You could get the MT410 shipped from Tower with a voucher and tax for around £340 but we are clutching at straws. Id also argue if youre buying an ERevo 2.0 youd need a new servo too.

The US pricings for the Traxxas’ work $549 for the ERevo and $749 for the UDR works if im honest. £549 ERevo 2.0 here Id haveno real complaints I suppose

I'd priced a 410 up going for a max 6 esc and other different bits, yeah it could be done cheaper, but i wouldnt bother cheaping out on a truck like that.

No I wouldnt either, id go with a Max 8 combo, (£150) a SRT servo (£45), Prolines and a shell will be £140 then choice of radio.

Although id budget in for a new servo and esc with the ERevo. My bet would be order the ERevo 2.0 from RC Mart with a Max 8 and a Savox Servo for £591 posted and pray for kind taxes.

Sell the stock ESC/servos and youre in at £520ish with the servo and esc sorted :)

Dam those US prices really shove our faces in it ! Although ive paid 20quid fees on £50 quids worth of car parts from the US.

Just as i ordered prolines, a body, servo and new rc gear (with a spare RX) the MT410 came back in stock...... hmmmmm i dont need two 1/8th MT's do i ?

Hmm don’t discount the trx4 though fella.

for their first attempt at “scale” they hit a home run so to speak.

my own opinion of course.

RC Mart are pretty good with fee’s in this situation, £464 for an e-revo 2.0 posted from them. Id assume theyll mark it right down too. Ive had $400+ orders slip through all the time :)
