  1. The only sure fire ones will be Tamiya or Kyosho limited editions. I know someone who stashes one of each away but it's not going to fetch much in the grand scheme of things.
  2. If you join the FB group you'll see the event they are planning this summer. Dan has also just built a dedicated 1/10 rally track for TT02B, XV01 and similar rally cars to hold a racing series.
  3. Orange are up in Lancashire or Yorkshire I believe. I'd only go full face if you're going to bike parks. You can buy helmets with detachable face protection and they are pretty popular. POC I believe do one, Endura certainly does and they are reasonable for a helmet like that but it's still around £160. I'd probably go with the Endura. All their stuff is good quality.
  4. I think they are pretty local to you as well. Don't forget to grab some padded shorts or padded bib shorts!
  5. I run a couple of crawlers with Castle Mamba X's, one with a Holmes Puller Pro and the other with a Castle motor. They'll hang with any brushed setup and has more and better programming options than the AXE system. That all said, if you don't want the aux channel and programmings options the Mamba or Tekin RX4 offers, then skip the AXE and just go brushed. It's not going to offer you anything over a 1060.
  6. It wasn't 11 months, it was 4 years and is barely a deal worth having. Speak to any exporter of food stuffs, it's Byzantine. The UK government is actually telling UK business to go out distributors on EU soil rather than sort out this mess. Boris and Gove said they had an oven ready free trade deal. This is a lie. Just this morning Moody's said the UK economy will suffer significant shrinkage because of it. That's a damning judgement to come from them. In RC related stuff and Brexit, I hear that a certain brand of tyre will be out of stock until summer.
  7. I'd probably use the 3 or 5mm wide tamiya masking tape for it. I've done splinter cammo on tank models and it's no different just in reverse and with more lines needed. You may find that there's patterns for it available online though.
  8. The lorries stuck on the M20, at Manston, the Farage Garage etc is all due to Brexit red tape. I live near junction 10. There's lorries absolutely everywhere at the moment, there's max 5 ton signs up all around the town and villages in Kent to stop them parking up on residential streets. The Ashford International Truck stop at the Orbital park has a line of lorries a mile long coming in and out because the Farage Garage (which I can see when I go shopping) has no facilities. This is all post Jan 1st and is nothing to do with COVID. 10,000 a day have to have their paperwork checked by an army of 50,000 people. It's a collosal waste of time and money. Brexit won't kill RC but it's causing delays and price hikes which won't go away.
  9. I know an RC shop in NI which is now effectively a weird little state due to a border in the North sea. The guy who does allot of the ordering in and mailing out said the whole thing is a pain as selling into the UK mainland even though they are registered for VAT is a ton of extra paperwork. There's a direct cost to this to them and the customer. The VAT thing is compounding it. I don't understand why people aren't more up in arms. Boris claimed it would be a free trade deal. It's not, its nothing like one and the City got cut out of services. Failing to see how this of any benefit to anyone right now other than a treasury minister working out how many extra billions they'll get from tax payers paying additional tariffs on items they previously didn't pay anything on. He needs to go back to Brussels, cap in hand and sort this mess out.
  10. The first problem was the Government was told to stockpile PPE and they didn't. The people I know working in hospitals at the time had to reuse single use PPE for days, if not weeks. The next was really about containment. They left the airports open and travel unrestricted, quarantine wasn't enforced for incoming travellers, masks were not mandated and only became law recently but unlike other countries, there's no standard like N95 still. They didn't prosecute people for breaking lockdown or moving from one tier to another (Jacob Rees Moog did exactly this) and then they did that eating out idiocy and churches are still exempt. Anyone driving goods off the ferry should have got a test immediately before moving on. All they had to do was enforce what was advised - essentially what they are doing now - back in March along with banning any public gathering with no exceptions. They still aren't testing people coming in transporting goods. This was all advised to the Government and much of it was a result of various national exercises performed across the emergency services over the years. The only unknown is what virus it would be.
  11. No sold. Please close.
  12. The Government ignored all it's own pandemic recommendations. There was a national test a few years back on how the UK might deal with a pandemic. The company I used to work for was involved in it. The Government willfully ignored all the recommendations. There is a way to deal with this, they just aren't doing it.
  13. Have you followed the guide by Harley designs? If they leak I'd rebuild and be careful not to overfill or overtighten the caps. I followed what he did and mine don't leak.
  14. Finally! They are adding a proper differential that can be sealed! I wonder if that will fit in the AR60?!
  15. One reason this has got so out of control is people are finding an excuse as to why they don't have to follow the rules themselves. While I firmly blame the idiots in charge of the UK for what's happened, it's compounded by people who think they are special. All every had to do was stay inside for a few weeks in March. But no, a minority had to go and ruin it for everyone. I'm particularly embarrised by the RC crowd as well. Seen videos from various bash groups in Kent and London flouting lockdown and social distancing. It won't have gone unnoticed by local councils either, which is a real shame because legitimate RC venues will pay the penality for this.
  16. It's pretty long drive there and back. Let me check with the other half as I'll need to figure out how to do this. Will let you know in a few days.
  17. Do you drive? Can look at meeting half way.
  18. Kent, but can deliver for the cost of fuel, within reason.
  19. As I understand it, the UK doesn't have a free trade deal in the classic sense, there's still an entire customs declaration and handling process even though no customs are taken. I believe the reason being is because the EU will not accept certain imports, so to stop them slipping through, everything has to be declared. So you'll now have to pay handling fees and every company will have to fill out paperwork, however no knows what that specific form is on either side of the border.
  20. Hey, sorry, missed this. With the clutch and carrier etc?
  21. Absolutely would get myself a 1/6 Armortek Centurion. I did breifly consider it a few years back but blowing 7k on a toy that would need it's own hydraulic lift to get it in a car was seen as bit extravagant.
  22. Bump. Will take 850 for it and deliver within reason.
  23. I would get an Iwata airbrush, like a Eclipse and if you get a dremel, get a dremel, not a knock off. Something like this has everything in it. Remeber to factor in the air compressor with the airbrush. Expect to spend at least £100 on that.
