The guys over at Big Squid have some more pics on of it, apparently it’s hitting the streets at $399 so no doubt if we see it it will be around £450 ? For a1/10th scale monster truck kit that’s a bit steep imo time you add electrics lipos paint you could be looking at £6-700 which is crazy

Folks thought I was mad spending a bit more than this on 1/8th so you must be completely nuts to spend it on a 1/10th so where’s my wallet lol

If it does rrp at 399 usd then its only 50 usd less than an MT410, which as we all know is more 1/8 than 1/10, so... not great value when you put it in that context.

 

VXL Stampedes come in around 399 usd too, but obviously RTR, and while I'd expect the Proline to out perform the Stampede, the Pro MT will need to be mighty good to justify the extra folding, IMO of course

Not a big fan of 1/8 MTs myself, so it has appeal over bigger stuff, regardless of price.

Out of interest, who makes the MT410 @bertberr ? 

Somewhere in between 1/10 and 1/8 might be a good option for me.

As much as I like Pro Line this is not a MT, to me a MT should have no centre diff and be absolutley mental, leave the handling and precision to race buggies

It won't handle that great anyway, it definitely won't be that precise

Based on my experience with the original PMT.

 

The shocks will leak if you look at them. - I gave up putting oil in them.

The spur gears will strip for a pass time.

Part support in the UK will be non-existent.

The MT410 is made by Tekno it’s a 1/8th scale it runs a 1/8th buggy (1/10th sct ) Chassis and 1/8th truggy arms etc .. For what this proline will cost I’ll stick with my MT410 which will far outperform this lol

That depends what you want, performance and needs is a very personal thing  if you're happy with your MT410, you don't really need this,  as it'll likely be basically the same but a bit smaller.

I'm still keen, but not if it's £400-450 for the basic kit in the UK.

Unless RCmart have some kinda sale, then I can orer the electrics and everything.

Thing is, they're not basically the same, even if they're a similar size externally. The tekno is a 1/8 that's been put in a hot wash. Mechanically it's mega beefy, as you'd expect with that 1/8 lineage, even shocks are 16mm big bores. 

 

I don't dislike the whole Pro MT thing but this really needs to be a little cheaper IMO.

The Tekno is (literally) an 1/8th scale buggy dressed up as a 1/10th truck. This isn't - because Proline don't make a 1/8th buggy but its still clearly built like one. 

 

Its not an MT but that goes for a lot of other designs too. There isn't really a collective name for these jacked up, non-racing but performance orientated trucks. 

 

I'm sure its going to be good, I'm not as sure who's going to buy one. It costs 1/8th money, it will need a similar sized space to run as a 1/8th based truck since its only a little smaller and just as fast and its going to have limited support. You've got to really want a very slightly smaller truck to go for this one.

Off topic but where would be the cheapest place to look at ordering the MT410 right now?

Had a quick look around but only seems available stateside?

Will wait for a definite confirmed price on this though, I love my 2WD version to be honest, regardless if some say it's not really an MT blah blah blah, it's good fun, puts a smile on your face and that's all any RC should do

I couldn't see the mt410 on the uk tekno dist' website when I last looked, not sure if they're still bringing it in or it's just the link that's gone walkies.

theres always tower with intl' cust' coupon discount. With shipping and vat would probably work out similar to what it used to cost in the uk.

it may be a bit steep, but really looking forward to this. Have the pro mt 2wd, and its taken an absolute beatings with virtually no breakages apart form a rear bumper piece and a front spindle. Anyone have an idea when be available in the uk? And yes I'm hoping parts support is there for it, and they also continue with parts of the 2wd pro mt.

Hopefully the price won't be ridiculous.

I'm struggling to find anything else to compete, the MT410 isn't in stock anywhere I found it.

Stampede is out for me, not into Traxxas personally and don't like how it looks anyway.

Arrma now offer the Mega Granite 4x4, but don't think it'd hold up to a brushless system and abuse I'd give it.

Anything else I'm missing? Without turning this into a wanted advert
