  1. Doesn’t look anything special to be honest. Especially at that price range.
  2. Had an amazing weekend at this one!! Definately the highlight of my RC year!! A big thankyou to all that made it possible. A quick video i edited together to show off the event. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1yW-Qa1dEY&list=UUZAdyxmWgTDUaW5mnguhWwg
  3. Thanks for the advice Jony! I might just stretch to that charger you recommend. I'm a big fan of eFuel stuff! I currently have an eFuel 30A power supply and rate it highly.
  4. Hi MSUK. its been a while.. After some advice on a new Charger. Basically, here is my story. I bought an Etronix Powerpal 4 80w version in september 2012, it was the newer, cheaper, cost saving model, instead of a nice metal chassis, it was a nasty plastic lined box with flimsy panels on the side. and... I have to be honest, its complete and utter garbage!! (note :- I have friends who have the older versions in the metal chassis design of this charger, and there still going strong 3+ years later) Basically i only used it to charge upto 5000mah 3S lipos as an absolute maximum, and usually no more than 2 at a time, after about 6 months though, I got a couple of 5600mah 3S packs, and tried charging them at 6A and one of the chargers blew and released its magic smoke, the other 3 were seemingly unaffected., when i demonstrated this to a mate the following day, a 2nd bank blew!! I got straight onto modelsport and sent it back and paid the extra for the JP Lipro 6 Quad charger, ok, it was only 50W but it appeared to be a quality product so i was willing to sacrifice a slight ammount of power, however, this unit was on backorder for some time, when it came near to the Bank Holiday Bash Fest, i simply needed a charger as my 2 back up Imax B6's just wouldnt cut it! so i reluctantly asked Modelsport to send me another Etronics Powerpal 4 80W. This arrived with a week spare to BHBF, i was a lot more carefull with this one, (and it was actually cheaper & nastier again! with silly screw fastened bababa plugs on the power cord.) i never charged this one above 5A on any battery after my previous experience. These days, i mainly use 5000mah 4S Packs. and on sunday evening i had 2x 4S 5A packs charging on my car battery when my charger litterally started pouring out its magic smoke, by the time i got it and disconnected it, the charger was totally dead!! by my reckonning i have had the replacement perhaps a month short of a year, so i dont know if its still under warrenty or not, i will be contacting modelsport to find out, but either way, i will be buying another charger. Bearing in mind, at some point in the future i will likely require the need to charge 6S Packs of above 5000Mah due to my interest in multirotors, i was looking for something with a little more guts to it than a 50W or 80W charger. I found one that looks promising, the iCharger 406-DUO 1400W dual channel 6S charger. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__56096__iCharger_406DUO_1400W_Dual_Channel_6s_Balance_Charger.html This looks like a lot of charger for the money, i am curious weather or not anyone has any experience with the iCharger range, or can reccomend any other suitable chargers. Many thanks guys. iain.
  5. Revo Mickey. I also live in Porthcawl, however, i go to Risca, near newport to bash every sunday.
  6. Was an awesome weekend! Many thanks to all those that helped to make it all happen. And it was awesome to meet so many great people. A big thanks to X9moto for his phantom footage, I hope to knock together a nice vid.
  7. Traxxas are one of the biggest re-badgers these days, I've lost a lot of respect for them in the last few years because of this. It used to be HPI that were the serial re badgers and traxxas were the innovators, these days it's HPI pushing the boundaries. However, that being said, the E-Revo is one of the finest multi purpose cars money can buy in my opinion, and is the finest RC i have owned. (Does have its issues though like any other car) and unlike many manufacturers, their parts are cheap as chips! I really do think they need to up their game, the last couple of years have seen a real shower of s**t come from their production lines.
  8. the toughest car ive owned out of the box has been the Traxxas E-Revo.. Followed by the E-Firestorm.
  9. i got one of his 1st generation ones for my E-Revo. Still use it today =)
  10. The petrol savage has been in the works for quite some time, will have to see one of those little engines in person before I make my mind up on it though. As for the date, it is quite funny! But it's not the first time a new release has come out 1st of April.
  11. Although the logic in your statement is undeniable, in practical terms it just doesn't work like that. If someone decides they want to get their hands on an air gun, they will. Full stop. All excessive licensing and government knee jerk bans do is hurt the legitimate hobbyists and owners. They do nothing to stem the illegal flow and use of such weapons in crime. Also, if someone just "clicked" that bit too far, there's a million things to hurt/kill people with. Everyday items, like your 1/1 car, an awesomely dangerous weapon in the wrong hands. So should they be banned too? Along with kitchen utensils, hand tools, our RC's particularly heli's, and electricity! As electricity is responsible for many deaths when misused! My point is, the "OMG it's dangerous, ban it!!" Statement is society's answer to everything, and it's political, nothing more.
  12. No. This isn't really a practical option. For a bike that cost you
  13. apparantly the low light handling has been improved too.
  14. thought you may find this amusing.. Jamies 1 meter long Eurofighter came down like a meteor last weekend. =) This is the aftermath. In the 2nd photo, you can see the 5" Nosecone burried in the ground all the way to the bulkhead, Just a shame we never caught it on Video.
  15. indeed. the bad weather last couple months has had a massive impact on us.
